Shocked
I wasn't expecting much from an inexpensive little set of mica powders, but man there are a ton of really pretty samples!2-3 of each color in varying shades is really nice (some have four). Great little set at a great price for people just starting out and overloaded with options. They mix well, solid color saturation, and nice outcome.

Box came a little banged up
The product itself is amazing and works exactly as advertised. You get all the colors in the picture and depending on the size of your project there’s quite a bit of product per baggy. The only thing that drops this rating to four stars was the box they arrived in. It was torn and collapsing and looked very rough

I love these. For a beginning soap-maker, they're wonderful to work with, an excellent introduction to working with micas that won't break the bank (if you're wondering whether or not to splurge and get the 50-pack, you might want to). Although they come in 0.1oz baggies, that goes much further than you might think. According to the manufacturer, one 0.1 oz packet is enough to color 50-175 oz (about 3.1-10.9 lbs) of soap, depending on how intense you want your colors to be (i found measuring to be a bit of a trial-and-error thing, since my scale doesn't go to hundredth-place increments). The only trouble is when using the mica as an accent rather than as a colorant, you're liable to use way more than you actually need. Less really is more with this stuff. Fortunately, with 24 packets there are bound to be a couple colors you feel you can use freely and for experimental purposes before using your favorites.Cold process: I've used these twice in cold process soap: the first one (at its 4-week checkup) held up very well. The second (at it's 1-week checkup) seems to be maturing fairly well.Melt and pour: it produces decent pastels when mixed with a white melt and pour base. The clear melt and pour projects I've done have all used the mica as an accent (rose-quartz chips in matrix, 'painted' onto bon-bon shaped embeds, etc.) and has produced lovely effects. The mica mostly stays, but a little will come off, which touched the rest of the clear with color and sparkle. I found it quite agreeable.I haven't used these in bath bombs, but the box does come with a little bottle of Polysorbate 80, and instructions on how to use it.Pros:-Bright assortment of fantastic colors!-Cheap enough not to feel like you can experiment without feeling the need to hoard your precious colors!-Hold up reasonably well in cold process soap-Do really well in melt and pour-A little bit goes a long way!Cons:-I was a little disappointed not to receive anything approaching a decent red. I'm still not sure how to feel about the 'oranges' I got. The Vineous is muted, the Light Papaya doens't really pop (not as far as I've used it). I class them as 'orange' but I'd really have liked an orange that was recognizable as a bold orange.-I've heard other soap makers talk about getting pearly looks with micas, but I have yet to get anything I'd call 'pearly' with these. Then again, I'm still exploring their usage.-Knowing how much mica I need has been something of a struggle, since I don't have a scale sensitive enough to measure to 0.0x. That said, once I adopted someone else's "1/2 tsp. per pound of soap" things got easier. It's a good ballpark figure to start with.Anyway, these cons are really minor things, and a little quality time with Google cleared at least one of them up. I highly recommend this for soap makers who are still at that stage of deciding if soaping is right for them (or those who think it is and simply want to experiment without breaking the bank or going through soap-making suppliers).

Mica who?
Not sure what rock I was living under, but I only recently learned about mica powder and all its glory. I love using in on some of my crafts, but my favorite is adding it to water in our empty crystal skull vodka bottles for the holidays. First ones I did was valentines day, but St. Patty's day ones turned out awesome. You dont need alot, colors are bright and the shimmer is really cool. Be careful, a tiny bit will float in the air for hours if it gets blown around. My husband bought a devise that will keep the water moving so the power doesnt settle - great addition to this and I would suggest it.

Lovely product!
The micas are so vibrant! I will use them for my DIY with joy! The items came well packaged and easily identifiable. Small in size but mighty in value and usage. Great variety for your money. No leakage and all quality material! Thanks seller!

Woah, did not expect my reaction when opening..
Okay, so first of all, woah... when it arrived (took 1 day to be delivered with prime) the first thing I said was "holy shh....woaahh..." Thisis what I'm talking about, real glimmer, that's what I love to see!! It's because of the sparkle shimmer from the Mica. I had ordered and opened a different type of Mica set pack from another seller first with no reaction because I thought it was normal for the powders to look like that. So when I opened this set, my eyes widened from the shimmer and rich pigmented colors. They were so beautiful, and I haven't even used it yet! The presentation was excellent because there was no mess from a color spill like the other one, so no Mica colors lost. Overall the color variety is great although some stuck out more than others (a good thing for blue/green hue lovers) but partly sad to see it's much smaller than the other one I ordered from another seller. Also, I wish it came wiyh a few kinds of whites that have that reflective color when the night hits it or is seen under a black color because it was really hard to find this type of Mica powder as a variety set for a fair price. Personally, this order was ALMOST perfect if it wasn't for 2 things. 1)I wish it came with the reflective whites because that's the main reason I ordered the other pack and the pigments in this set are sooo rich in luster that it puts the other to Shame as you can see above the difference and would look incredible from this company if they had it. I'd buy it in a heartbeat! 2)The other is that I wish there was more grams in it. I got way more of each color from the other order than this brand so there are some trade-offs. Overall I'm very content with the purchase and will definitely reorder more when I run out.
