I would have given it 5 stars if there was a way to easily clean it. Most garlic presses have a reverse option where the prongs will push out all of the leftover skins or whatever after crushing if you just reverse the action. This one doesn't so I have to stick my nail in and scrape it out. Other than that, it is a great little press. I love the garlic skin remover tube. Didn't think I'd even use it, but I tried it and now I'm hooked on it.

I purchased this press and was very pleased with how it worked until the handle bent like a tin can after only around 8-10 uses. I contacted customer service and they immediately sent me a replacement at no cost. My second one is currently working well and I am happy with it although it does seem a little weak in the handles. I am hoping it holds up for a long time. Very happy with their customer service.

I am not sure why this happened. It seemed like such a good tool. I am curious if there's a warranty or money back or exchange policy.

Unfortunately mine broked after a few uses. I liked the design of this press, easy to handle and clean. If only they could figure out how to make it last. I thought this was the last one I would buy but I was disappointed again.

Bought this for my wife after our Pampered Chef garlic press broke after 15 years. Her comments on this press is "I don't like it. Residue sticks to the press and there is no easy way to clean it. No tool to clean it with."We will donate this to Goodwill and buy a Pampered Chef garlic press.By the way, in 15 years our Pampered Chef press never turned black like many others state in their reviews, but then again, we never put ours in the dishwasher, like they state that they have.

Update, less then a year old and the metal folded and broke.. I like it except the extension piece has to be put in place it doesn't fall in place. So it has minimal set up. Otherwise I would give it a 5.

Metal actually bent after not having it that long. No longer functional and threw it away. Giving it two stars because I love the garlic peeling tube thing. I previously had a Pampered Chef garlic press that lasted almost 15 years before I bought this, and when this one broke I got a new Pampered Chef one and am very happy once again. If you don't like anything else from Pampered Chef, just get their garlic press. Found my new one here on Amazon.

This was honestly the best garlic press I had ever used before. Unfortunately, mine broke and I was very disappointed but believe it or not I will repurchase because it was overall a great product.
