I bought this for on my wood stove door prepped the door to use this stuff it stuck nice at first then after the stove was lit the adhesive separated from the gasket and when I opened the door it all fell off and the gasket glue was stuck to the door but then it made a mess I will be posting pics

Worked perfect to replace the old worn out gasket on the clean out cap on my wood stove. It was easy to cut and install and the self adhesive worked perfectly.

This item works well but the item description is misleading. It says the gasket is 9’ long and then shows that there are two pieces. This indicates to me that there are two 9’ pieces when there are actually two 4 1/2’ pieces.

This was used to surround the glass windows of my Avalon pellet stove. No adhesive was needed, and it was fun to try and get it to stay in place. I ended up putting a few stitches in to the ends to keep it tight around the glass until the steel holders were in place. I'm sure the thread burned away in minutes but the gasket stayed right in place. Flames have definitely licked across this gasket and they show no signs of degrade. Its a great gasket for a wood burning stove.

The product worked great for all of about an hour. Wood stove was cool, cleaned and prepped for using this item. I stuck the gasket around the track, got a good fire going, went to add a log on the fire about an hour and a half later and the entire gasket fell off. The remnants of the adhesive backing barely clung to the installation site like papery snakeskin. Not what I would expect for a product rated for 1000° used on a 400° fire.The picture attached is the remnants of the adhesive backing.

I used this mid-winter to patch a few leaks in the door gasket. At first they were great. If I did not have to open the door they would have been fine. After heating and opening the door a few times they started to fall off. As a plain gasket material they are fine. I put them back up with some gasket cement. This will get me by until I totally remove the old gasket and replace it for next year.One advantage they do have is they have a rigid fiberglass backing. This keeps them more dimensionally stable that a plain gasket. Thin gaskets used on glass stretch easily are very difficult to get a consistently thick layer. Also, they would stay in place without using messy cement until you can get things clamped up. Next time I have to do a window I will definitely get these. Windows go on once and do not get opened again. They should be great for that.

I had to refinish my Ashley wood burning heater and it needed a new gasket and tried Self-adhesive gasket tape and it was easy to install, it was a good price and it was delivered fast!

Good product was as described and easy to work with. The real test is yet to come. Haven’t used the wood heater yet this year

We installed this product and now we are noticing fiberglass strands coming from it. 😳This is very concerning to us.

Slight smell on first fire up of stove after install. Probable from self stick glue.Otherwise I have no complaints.
