I highly recommend this particular Lovely Bamboo 10-inch steamer w two trays and lid. I did a comparison w various other makers before purchasing this one, and what I liked the best about this one was that the bottoms of the trays are made with full flat pieces of cut-out bamboo, instead of thinner strips held together in a cross hatch pattern using even narrower strips, like so many others. Not only is this simpler construction more sleek looking, but the floor has a flatter surface and fewer complications that can break / be harder to clean. This product came in a very nice, professional looking box that I would be pleased to give or get as a gift, and the steamer itself has worked wonderfully now for about a dozen uses. I would definitely buy this one again for my friends.

The steamer looks sturdy, but the first time I used it, my kitchen was full of bamboo/chemical smell. I washed and soaked it beforehand, but after two rounds of steaming, the water in the pot still has some greenish color. Not sure what that is, or whether it has any effect on the food.

Very bad quality. Used once and when I took them out second time for use, covered with mold!

Great product that was exactly what I wanted/expected. It is well put together, is fairly sturdy, and traps steam for cooking. Simple and functional.

I have had a really hard time finding one of these bamboo steamers in a store. I was delighted to find this on amazon. It came quickly, very sturdy and ready to use! perfect to heat up dumplings and pot stickers. yum!

Not too bad. But not very good quality. Good for the price.

I use this to steam bread: hot dog buns, hamburger buns, even sandwich bread that's gone a little stale. I just place the bread inside this contraption, on top of a pot of boiling water, for about ten minutes -- and Voila!

It does its job.
