Bought this tool to help diagnose an abs sensor problem on my 2010 Audi S5. Replaced the sensor on rear driverside but problem persisted. After 1.5 years of a dash giving me all kinds of warnings (if you have an audi you know the simplest little problem can set off errors on 5-6 different systems in the car), I assumed it was a bad wire somewhere. Took me about 5 minutes to access and unplug the sensor. I backprobed the connector in within 10 minutes I found the signal stopped behind the drivers rear interior panel. Removed the panel and found the two wires for the sensor had been chewed by a mouse!! Had the wire repaired and car back together in 20 minutes. So for an hour of my time and less than the dealer charges to diagnose, I had a new tool, a fixed car and new found confidence in myself to repair thses kinds of issues! Highly recommend this tool for finding similar electrical issues in your vehicle.

Helps to be tech savvy
I’d give it five stars if I could understand the directions. Maybe it’s me, I don’t know. So far I have tried to sort things out once and no solution. Will try again shortly.

DIY easy
Being a week end warrior, I fixed one thing and then had problems with another. Using this "hound dog" I was able to sniff out the disconnected wire the was causing my cruise control to malfunction. Only took less than 5 minutes. Easily paid for itself in one use.

Will not work on shielded wires like Knock Sensor wiring.

Perfekt, wenn keine weitere Hand zur Hilfe bereit ist.
Warum habe ich mit den ECT 3000 nicht schon früher zugelegt ?? Jetzt habe ich schon so viele Jahre Erfahrung.....besser spät wie nie. Bsp. Ich suchte einen fiesen Wackelkontakt an einem Verdeck, also die besagte Leitung auf Masse gelegt und den Kabelbaum geknetet und schwupps piepste der Sender, wo ich den Wackler berührt hatte. Also, ein Traumtool, gerade wenn man keine weitere Hand ✋️ zur Hilfe hat. Perfekt.
