OXO Steel Pie Server

This was a hit at Thanksgiving. It served us pies and a 3-layer cake and cheesecake confidently without the food teetering and falling off too soon. The angle of this server is just right and didn't need a lot of maneuvering. Easy for arthritic hands to hold. Almost fun to use! Handsome piece and looks nice on the counter. Double serrated edge is smart and sharp and did the job of cutting through smoothly. Left it as a gift for my hostess. I am buying 2 more - one for a friend and one for myself again. A great gift. Very highly recommended.

Perfect - large enough for a nice, big piece of pie, comfortable to hold & use, serrated edges are great for slicing.

This was perfect. Sharp edges and ergonomic. Bought for friends who did not have a decent way to slice pies, tarts, or cakes.

This was ok as a serving tool, but it is much more like a weapon or some sort of gardening tool. This is a surprisingly heavy object. The handle was a bit too long and the flat serving surface a bit too short for my comfort. The serrated edge is very sharp! I will keep this in the unused tool section of my kitchen and continue using my old server with rounded edges, because using this one makes me nervous. I could slice and serve a pot roast with this. Maybe it's meant for slicing through thick solidified fondant?

This is a classic OXO product. For some, the blade might be a bit short, but it gets into the pie dish easily. The handle is generous and the blade is sturdy so it can cut through the pie and the crust and lift everything out. One doesn't wonder if it's going to bend or twist in the hand. I considered ordering 10 of these to use at a wedding for individual cakes at every table, but the bride chose a less expensive option. But I would have been happy to have guests use this because it's so functional.

This is hands down a great server/cutter, as expected from OXO. I don't get all the complaints that it's "too sharp." look at the photos: the serations are nowhere near where your hand will be on the grip. Do these people cut themselves every time they use a knife or a pair of scissors? It makes no sense. If you have even basic life skills, you won't cut yourself, but you will have an excellent tool that will help portion out pies, lasagna, pizza, brownies, etc. My only hesitation originally based on the photos was that the triangular serving end might be too small. But in reality, the whole tool is larger than expected, and the size is great. And like most OXO products, it's dishwasher safe.

Solid pie server but take note.. the edges are serrated just like a knife and very sharp. I probably wouldn’t have purchased this one had I have realised this, but we kept it anyway. On the upside those edges serve as a knife to cut the pie, which may suit some.
