Pleased customer...
Bought this to help with the heat and to keep debris off my slide top . Instalation was fairly easy, the directions was very informative and walked you through each step along with descent pictures. All in all it took my son and I about 2.5 hours to install a 13'6" awning. You will need 2 people and I highly recommend using a good silicon based adhesive on the awning track that attachs to the camper below the roof line. There is no Gasketwith the kit to prevent water getting in behind the mount or screws.I highly recommend this product, so far it is holding up very well in the South Texas heat and the way it's built it looks as if the camper came with this from the factory.I just ordered another awning assembly for my smaller slide and I am excited about having all my slides covered and staying cooler in the summer....

Great great product installed with moderate ease
This is a great product and protects the seams of my camper from leaves and moisture. Instructions were fairly reasonable and installation took under three hours.

Watch the video before installing.
The instructions need work, thanks for the video though. Take about 2 hours to install.

It's a decent value for the money and for DYI installation.
Overall, it was a pretty easy installation. Although, I would say that two people aren't quite enough, at least in my experience. Some of the self tapping screws broke off even with pilot holes drilled, but we still managed to get it installed. I haven't had a travel day yet, to ensure it doesn't cause any issues when moving, but it is on and installed and it only took a couple of hours with the help of some friends.

Good upgrade
I wasn't sure how well this topper was going to be when I saw it and bought it. After using it now for several months I am pleased with the purchase and quality. My main reason for buying it was price. The price for the topper was a little cheaper than their compertitor, but it was shipping where this topper decimates their competitor. There competitor wanted to charge me more for the shipping than the actual topper. The way Awnlux builds and ships their product is ingenious and makes for no shipping cost through Amazon. So the cost saving factor was a huge bonus. I am a mechanic by trade so installed the topper with the help of a friend. The directions are not the best, and es I did read them several times. I watched the Awnlux instructional video as well as several other videos on intalling a topper. From all that I took the what I felt was the best ideas and used them while install the topper on my camper. Operation is smooth and has good coverage over my slide. It keeps pine needles and leves off the top of the slide so I don't always have to climb a ladder to clean it. I also like it keeps water of the top of the slide. I am happy with the product and would buy it again.

easy to install
I installed all by myself, took about 1 hour. That was drinking a beer and taking my time! works perfect. When installing, dont put the tube in the fabric ON THE CAMPER side until your done, put the fabric in the groove THEN slide in the long plastic tube in the sleeve, easy peasy. I showed the camping world mechanics how to do this and they were blown away. Makes install a 1 man job and ZERO chances of it tearing the fabric.

[Read this before purchasing!]
[Upon opening the box and inspecting the contents, the awning looked to be made of good materials. The instructions are fairly clear and can be comprehended by someone who is mechanically inclined. It could use a little more clear information, more pictures and fix some of the grammatical errors. The awning I ordered was 13 ft 6in and the box I received it in was about 4ft in length. To make it fit in the box the main tube the fabric rolls onto was split into 3 sections. I did not think much of it when I was putting it together because it seemed to be as strong as if the tube was one continuous piece like the main awning. The install was pretty easy minus several screw heads shearing off. Once the awning was installed I noticed there was a lot of slop in the awning. When the awning was completely extended the fabric tube bows in the middle creating slack in the middle of the fabric that will catch and hold rain water. I thought maybe I did something wrong so I took it down and retensioned the fabric and reinstalled it. Unfortunately it did not fix the problem. In order to fix the problem I had to wedge some foam in between the tube and the slide out so no water will collect. Unfortunately even with the foam all this awning does is collect water when it rains. This design would work just fine for a smaller awning but for the larger ones it really needs to have a tube that is one solid piece to make it more rigid. So if you have a large slide out don’t waste your money on this awning.]
