Works with big buddy heater
I needed a way to connect my Mr. Heater Big Buddy heater to my house low pressure line. I had POL/QCC1 fittings (like what is on a propane bottle) I was connecting to using the adapter hose you can commonly get that makes it so you can connect your big buddy to a 20lb (or larger) bottle. However, that hose connects to an internal regulator. Since my house line was a low pressure line, it didn't work (you can't have two regulators in line). The Big Buddy has a place for two bottles, so I was just going to take one of the regulators off. However, when I was looking to do that, I found the quick disconnect. This fitting fits that quick disconnect, at least on my heater. They also sell this fitting at Menards for over twice the price. There is another style quick connect fitting that is commonly used with RVs (commonly available on Amazon and RV stores). That fitting looks almost exactly like this one, but the Mr. Heater one is slightly larger. I am going to change out my POL/QCC1 fittings for the RV size quick connect. I will then take the POL/QCC1 connection off the heater hose and replace it with one of the standard quick connects (therefore converting the Mr. Heater non standard connection to the RV size quick-connect). My thought is that POL/QCC1 connections should be reserved for high pressure fittings, and the quick-connects should be used for low pressure fittings. The Buddy heater because requires a one-way valve (so when you hook it up through the regulators the gas doesn't escape out the quick connect). I couldn't find an RV size male fitting that had a one way valve on it so I made an adapter hose as described above instead of just changing the fitting out to a standard size fitting.

one going to my generator & one going to the fuel source (propane) very useful as well functional
Very simple install, used it to connect two hoses, one going to my generator & one going to the fuel source (propane) very useful as well functional.Allows me to wheel out the generator, plug the quick connect together, and I'm up and running. Very "heavy duty" connector!Leak checked it, the connection is solid, and air tight no leaks! I used this set up with the hose I ordered here on Amazon,Fire Pit/ RV High Quality 3/8ID Flexible 12' High Pressure Propane Hose w/ Brass on Brass Flared Ends; Max 350 PSI LP/ Natural Gas Canada OK (12' Flexible 350 PSI Hose) ..... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JU9Q38U?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00 ....This hose connects to my generator on one end the other end is the "female" end, the male end is on the fuel source hose, when this is disconnected the male end has a valve that will not allow any gas leaks, only when the two (male/female) ends are connected will the valve open. I recommend still closing the tank valve though or any other manual valve that you can put in the "line" as an additional safety feature.

Easy fittings and the ability to quick disconnect
I was amazed by the quality and durability of the connector kit. I was able to install and use the fitting with no problem at all. There were no leaks when I assembled the parts.

I was disappointed that the store I bought the heater didn't have ...
I only needed the male end of the fitting and my brother-in-law picked up the right adapter at Home Depot. I was disappointed that the store I bought the heater didn't have very much in the way of fittings and couldn't help me. All this trouble so I could hook up a small salamander propane heat to a quick disconnect I have mounted on my house for my propane grill to my new heater to warm up my garage if I working in there. Now I don't need a 20 lb tank which would only last about 12 hours.

I gave this as a gift.
I gave this as a gift. The person I gave it to has never said anything about it. I take that as, no news is good news.

Great Connector for Low Pressure Propane Connections
The quick connector seems to be well built and durable.Originally, I purchased this connector with the intention of connecting it on the high pressure side to run a portable propane generator or camp stove that requires high pressure; however the connector is only rated at 1/2 psi (~ 11 WC). I decided to go ahead and utilize this connector on the low pressure side so I can connect it to a grill or other low pressure propane device in the future.Giving this one a 4 simply because the specifications were not clear when I purchased.

Looks like just trading company junk
I bought this MR. Heater natural gas quick connector kit (F276187) from amazon. It came in a sealed Mr. Heater blister package. The back of the package serves as the instructions states “Mr. Heater” as the brand and has two instruction bullet points - all BTU capacities - Low and High pressure system. However when i open the package the actual product is branded into the metal as "Deking corporation Co. LTD" from Guang Dong China. Wrapped around the product is a second set of instructions that is also Deking Corporation branded. Both the product and the second set of instructions state low pressure systems only. 1/2 PSI max. So not only is there two brands but also conflicting product specs. The guys at Mr. Heater have never looked at their own product? What is the real spec and who is the real company? Is the product safe to use?, because obviously there is no QC or testing being done. Looks like just trading company junk. I'll ad some pictures. The brass milling looks fair and beat up. I tried sending this email through the customer service portion of enerco.com / mr. heater website but that doesn’t function either, so I’m wondering what their customer service staff is actually working on and what their QC department is doing . I'll ad some pictures.

Good for both low and "high" pressure systems*
I was looking for a quick connect for "high" pressure propane. The ad copy says low pressure (typically 11 water column inches or 1/2 psi), but a few other sites said they were for both low pressure and high pressure apps. Fortunately, the package indicates that this is suitable for both. I'll be using it for the feed to a portable 6KW generator between primary and secondary regulator.*High pressure, at least for my use, will be from 10 to 25 psi. Not sure if this would work directly on an unregulated propane tank.

Works great allows me to plug and unplug a low pressure hose I've checked it a number of times with soap and water and no leaks but I did have to use thread seal when I first set it up
