I haven't had a chance to use the item yet, but can't wait to get my first batch done and see where the level is. I will rate again after I use.

Product I recieved doesn't work. Had the liquid at the correct temp. Used store bought vodka to confirm. Will not sink at all for an 80 proof vodka. Didn't test at purchase and now the product I was making is done fermenting I find out this tool is junk. At least the one I recieved is non functional.

Works exactly like it is advertised and gave me a great proof reading. The plastic covers work as the cylinder for testing and is plastic to make it less likely to break. I see people here saying it doesn't have one but it does. I use it just fine. I hope that helps someone. The plastic graduated cylinder only measures to 160 Proof and is only 8 inches long. I had to buy another one for like 8 bucks to measure above 160 proof, which I need to do....

Seems to work as expected. Thought it said it was a kit, so expected it to come with a tube to put the spirits in, but maybe I read that wrong.

It's ok just that ok better easier products than this one
