ALTRAMen's Escalante 3 Road Running Shoe

I recently purchased the ALTRA Men's AL0A7R6M Escalante 3 Road Running Shoe in orange and I'm very impressed with the performance of these shoes. The shoes have a modern and stylish design with a comfortable fit.The shoe is lightweight, making it perfect for long distance runs, and the cushioning provides great support to the feet, making it comfortable for extended use. The shoe is also breathable, allowing my feet to stay cool and dry even during intense workouts. Be aware though, since they are zero-drop, your ankles might initially get a bit sore, but after a few runs this went away!One of the unique features of this shoe is the FootShape toe box, which allows the toes to relax and spread out naturally, improving balance and stability. This feature has really helped me maintain my form during runs and reduced the risk of injuries.Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase of the ALTRA Men's AL0A7R6M Escalante 3 Road Running Shoe. I highly recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a comfortable and reliable running shoe.

I love the fit and feel of these shoes for running, and daily wear.The only "meh" comment I have is that the provided laces are too short to use the laces lock loop. I can barely get a tiny bow out of it when I use the lace lock.

ALTRA Men's Escalante 3 fits my feet well: Wide toe box, no drop, versatile. Use for running as well as everyday street use. One suggestion to consider it seems to me that the Escalante 3 fits snugger that earlier versions. Increase the size by 1/2 from your normal size. I compared my existing Escalante 1 size 11 to this new purchase Escalante 3 size 11-1/2 and it matched perfect with each other. One of the most comfortable running shoes I ever had (40+ years running).

These are my favorite shoes. I wear them for running and just general walking. They are extremely comfortable, lightweight, and they aren't super flashy so they look normal with regular outfits. I first bought them when dealing with plantar-fasciitis, which they worked wonders for. I tried them on at a shoe store, but then bought them online because they were $30 cheaper. I'm a size 11 1/2 in Vans but a 12 in these shoes (US Male). I first had the blacks, now I have the navy blues. My old pair are still in usable condition, they are just very dirty and a little torn up because I was using them as trail runners. Very satisfied with Altra. I think their toe-room is what really sets them apart in terms of comfort. However, I would avoid their Timp Trail Runners; those are super fragile and the ankle support wasn't the greatest. I just bought their Lone Peak 8s to replace those.

I wear these for work and find them durable and very comfortable. The wide toe box is so nice. No more squished toes. There is ample cushion and tread making them a great walking shoe. I am hard on shoes and admit I have put them in the washing machine before. While they dont say washable...mine came out just fine.

Although these still have a more natural toe shape than the average narrow toe running shoe, they are too narrow for the intended purpose. I switched to natural toe shoes after my big toe became too far directed inward that it rolls outward as I launch off my toes. The pinch callous was getting painful, as was the toe joint. My vivobarefoot and Xero running shoes have a good, natural toe box that allows my toes to splay enough for my big toe not to roll out. These escalantes put firm pressure inward on my big toe, and my pinch callous flares like crazy as I run.The added cushioning compared to other brands is nice for Altra to maintain. However, the toe box is becoming too narrow with each generation after the brand was sold to its current owner. It is unfortunate. Would not recommend for those who need a natural toe box
