I was so excited for new little lithops to arrive today. Disappointed is an understatement. When I opened the swollen little zip lock they came in, a horrible smell was overwhelming. I sifted through the awful smelling mud mess and found nothing. So, I emptied the contents of zip lock onto a white styrofoam plate and added a little bit of water to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Apparently, the horrible smell was the dead decaying lithops. I'm so sad! I ordered them yesterday and received them today. Obviously, they had been in the zip lock bag for some time. I am going to be asking for a replacement or refund. Really, I just want the lithops that I ordered. I called the local nursery, and they said the smell when I opened the bag was a good indicator the lithops were very dead and rotting.UPDATE… before posting this I had the company send me a replacement order. They arrived 2 days after the first order and looked exactly the same. Dead! Very long since dead. I inquired as to why and it was suggested they were overwatered, sitting for too long in too much water and they was why the tops weren’t even attached to the root anymore. I’m still crushed. I truly wanted these little guys for my garden. I wish the company would view how other company’s are sending/packaging and follow suit because what they are doing isn’t working. I really just want the lil guys I bought not a refund in 2 months ☹️

These guys came in the next day but still weren’t in great condition. One doesn’t look like it’s going to make it but the other 3 look promising. I expected this to be a gamble but this was fairly inexpensive so I figured why not! Not bad overall. If you’re a passive plant purchaser like me (impulsively buys <$10 plants on Amazon just to see if you can keep them alive), this would be a good choice! (If I remember, I’ll added pics after I’ve had them a few weeks)

Much smaller than I expected. I ordered 3 and one of them was dead. Otherwise I think the remaining two will be ok.

Love them and can't wait to see them split

I received 2 small smelly bags of dirt. I had to get a magnifying glass and look at it. I do not see anything. They were listed as mini but not microcptic. I feel this is a total ripoff.

Should have read the reviews, because not a single one of mine came live. I got a bag of soggy soil (maybe they will still come to life being set on a dry soil, who knows.)
