Got to try it out with these cooler afternoons and nights. Does what is intended for. Kindling pieces that pop out and slowly burn out on the mat very well. Cleans nice and very heavy-duty with good lightweight portability.

Nice weight, so it lays flat. An attractive, effective, unobtrusive protective base for our smokeless fire pit as it sits on our wood deck.

We purchased these to use outside under the mobile firepits and under the BBQ. Sometimes, chairs, metallic devices can leave rust marks in your patio and these pads will help you protect your outdoor flooring.

Perfect size for my fire pit

Stumbled across this product and decided to give it a try because I don't have a great place for my firepit in the yard (my areas without grass are too near structures or are under branches and then I scorch what little grass still grows). I've only used it once so far, but it worked. Once I moved the pit and the mat, the grass wasn't scorched/dead. I probably could have used one that was slightly bigger, but it caught most of what dropped and protected the area directly below the pit from the heat. Worth the $15 or so for sure.

We got this for our fire pit and it’s great ! Very easy to clean and put away . Helps keep the area clean ! Be sure to move off the grass and store it somewhere else so it doesn’t kill your grass

Bought this for my husband’s birthday in October and used it twice with a new smokeless Surestove. After second use we discovered that the product did not work as described and we now have to replace 4 planks on our composite deck. Amazon would not refund our money with me having to take the stove to the UPS store and sending it back. Refused to take photos I could provide in lieu.

Do not see how this will be fireproof but I will circle back after we use the pit a bit to let you know how it holds up. Had some embers popping out of the pit last night and landing on the mat, will see after a few more uses.
