The Brutally Honest Oracle on the Bathroom Floor
Dateline: A Tiled Room, Under the Unforgiving Glare of a Single Bulb. There is no greater moment of truth, no more savage and immediate confrontation with the consequences of your own life choices, than the moment you step onto a bathroom scale. It is a stark, numerical judgment. For years, this was a simple, analog affair—a twitching needle, a spinning dial, a single, damning number. But we live in a different age now. An age of data. An age of cold, hard metrics. An age of the Wyze Smart Scale. This is not a scale. This is a data-harvesting platform disguised as a sleek, minimalist slab of glass. It sits there on the floor, unassuming, almost benign. And it is cheap. So cheap, in fact, that it feels like a trick. For the price of a few sad, airport-bar cocktails, you get a device that promises to read not just your weight, but your very composition. The ritual is simple. You step on. The numbers on the bright, digital display dance for a moment, and then settle on your weight. But that’s just the opening act. The real show is happening behind the scenes. A tiny, imperceptible electrical current is taking a high-speed tour of your mortal form, gathering intelligence. A moment later, your phone buzzes. The dossier has arrived. You open the Wyze app, and there it is. A full-blown intelligence report on the state of your own flesh. Body fat percentage, muscle mass, bone density, BMI, a whole suite of brutally honest metrics that leave no room for self-delusion. It’s like having a tiny, scarily accurate lab technician living in your bathroom, sending you daily reports. And the app… the app is fantastic. It doesn't just give you the numbers; it charts them. It turns the savage, day-to-day fluctuations of your physical being into elegant, easy-to-read graphs. You can see the slow, grinding progress of a new fitness regimen or the immediate, catastrophic impact of a holiday weekend. It is a relentless, unflinching chronicler of your journey, a brutally honest historian for your own body. You’d think a device this connected, this… aware… would be a thirsty beast, constantly demanding new batteries. But it is not. The thing runs for what feels like an eternity on a single set of AAAs, a testament to some kind of low-energy voodoo that defies explanation. It just sits there, patiently waiting for its next data point, its next chance to tell you the unvarnished truth. The Wyze Smart Scale is a phenomenal piece of gear for an almost laughable price. It’s a reliable, frighteningly insightful, and absurdly affordable tool for anyone who has decided to stop lying to themselves. It’s a brutally honest friend who lives on your bathroom floor, and for those brave enough to listen, it has some very interesting stories to tell.

Weigh better than expected!
This scale looks great, sets up easily with the app connected to my phone, and works like a charm. The scale itself will tell you weight and fat percentage on the display, but with the app you can track a BUNCH of metrics. Auto-syncing is excellent, and really I have no complaints! The all-in-one app is tailored more toward home automation and cams, but click on the scale and once you're in there's plenty of info. I give it a 5...out of 5

Great scale for body weight metrics
It arrived in perfect conditions. I was hesitant about the bluetooth connection but it's turned out to be perfect. As soon as I activate it on my phone the scale turns on and starts working. It's giving great information about my health and benchmarks to take into account, because not only gives you the metric but also the ranges within which you should be in. It is pretty easy to set up and I think that gives you a lot of information which makes it totally worth the money.

Great Daily Weight Tracker with Solid Trends – Body Comp Numbers Are Approximate
I’ve been using my Wyze Scale almost every morning for several months now while on a serious recomp journey (losing fat while building muscle). Overall, I’m happy with it and would buy it again. What I love: • The weight readings are very consistent and accurate compared to other scales. • It’s super convenient — quick Bluetooth sync to the app, nice clean interface, and I love seeing my historical trends in one place. • The app is easy to use and motivational. I’ve dropped from ~195 lbs down to the low 180s while gaining muscle, and the scale has helped me stay accountable. • Features like visceral fat rating, BMR, and metabolic age give me extra data points that keep me engaged. The main downside: The body composition metrics (body fat %, muscle mass, visceral fat, etc.) are only okay for home use. When I compare them to professional InBody scans at Supplement Superstores, there’s noticeable variance — sometimes 1–3% difference in body fat and a few pounds on muscle mass. They’re useful for tracking directional trends over time, but I wouldn’t trust any single reading as 100% accurate. Bottom line: If you mainly want reliable daily weight tracking + helpful trend data at a great price, this scale is excellent. If you need lab-level accuracy on body fat and segmental muscle, you’ll still want occasional professional scans. For most people doing this at home, the Wyze Scale delivers strong value. Recommended for anyone serious about consistent tracking without spending hundreds on a pro device.

Good product.
The app worked as advertised. Unfortunately, I had to send the first one back because it would not reset to zero but would instead reset to 125 LB. Unfortunately, there is not a good customer service process. So I returned the item and got a new one. the Bluetooth access to the app and tracking. I'm not sure how accurate the non weight measures are, such as BMI, muscle percentage, et cetera.

It may be just a scale, but it’s a good one!
For products like this, I primarily judge by how often I use it, the quality, my confidence it will last, and whether I’d buy it again. Happy to say that it passes all of these criteria with flying colors. I use my scale as a barometer and use it every day, generally right when I get up, before I even have my slippers on. I’ve found it to provide accurate readings and it gives me the confidence to make sure I keep myself in a healthy weight zone. My last scale like this (different brand) broke after multiple kids getting on it less gingerly than the adults (read mom and dad) in the house. The Wyze scale has stood the test of time and after almost a year of having it still looks new. I feel pretty confident I’ll be using this scale for more years to come and if/when it does finally wear out, I’ll be looking to buy another Wyze scale. Hope this helps.

Very accurate but the software is dumb -- YOU NEED WIFI AND NET ACCESS TO USE THE SCALE?
So I install the batteries, it greets me, nice. Where is the app? No code, no link no nuthin. It took me a while to find out that the app is an all purpose program for everything they make. It loads up, asks for my height etc, and then it links to the scale and its connected. Great. That was easy. But when I stepped on the scale I had my weight, which was consistent. But not the water etc. I thought, hmm.. Is it dead? I reset it, I cleaned it off despite it being new. I refreshed the phone, tried to connect directly nothing. I would step on the scale and it would read the weight again and it gave the lines like it tried to scan but nothing. Why is this not working? My knees are touching, I guess, its hard to stand on the scale because its not wide enough to stand on comfortably. But do you know what the problem was? The initial screen on the app was never completed and you MUST fill in if you are a boy or a girl, your height and age or that function of the scale doesn't work either for some reason. And it won't record your weight at all if those things aren't entered. Even if you wanted to just use the app to see the numbers, you can't unless you fill in that stuff. And its not obvious where you click, you have to click on Favorites then Your scale, then you can enter the info, where as I clicked devices then the device, and then settings. Which later disappeared after setting it up right. If there was just a warning screen telling me it wasn't set up I wouldn't have wasted 40 min trying to make it work. Its also a bit tip prone when stepping on it. Edited - 4-25-25 was a 4 star they lost a star 1. They didn't tell you that you need an internet connection to use it. We lost power yesterday, I checked my weight and its like - sorry you don't have a net connection so I can't record it. And the info vanished just like that. I did it 3 times in a row. 2. They have no way to contact them easily. They have a new help thing but its a very useless AI insisting I don't need the net. Here's the thing, if this company went out of business or they changed their address, or I don't have a net connection, does that mean I can't use the scale? 3. Because there is no way to contact them, I want to be able to add notes to this thing saying what I ate, but they don't have that. And the fat part is confusing because it all seems to be a calculation rather than a measurement. Today i'm 1 pound heavier, so the fat goes up also? 7-7-26 I dropped this a star for a few reasons: 1. The body composition seems to be weight based only even if its water based, though it does know when your visceral fat went up as you ate some chips. 2. As before you can't use it if the power is out because for whatever reasons, you need to have wifi access to use a bathroom scale. So if your out of range, out of power, have no access, or the company goes out of business. You can't use any function nor can you use app for some reason... There is ZERO reason you need to be online to use this scale which is so stupid. 3. Its hard to get yourself just right on the scale or the slightest amount of dirt messes up the reading and you have to start again, as it has to go through the entire sequence to find out it can't read it. 4. They give numbers without real explanations what they are for. There are no places in the software to leave notes, like had a fried chicken party that day or walked extra, so you can really keep track. They do update the software giving you other things to look at but don't really explain what they are or do. And there is no solid easy way to contact them. In the future i'll have to find a scale that doesn't need to be online in order to work. 7-17-26 I keep lowering the score - but you can't use this scale unless you have wifi. Why? They store your private personal medical data in the cloud. What do they use it for? Who knows. I have an app, that's where it should be stored. When I contacted them, they gave me a whole run around, tried to replace the scale for some reason. When its the software at fault. When I mentioned this is probably a HIPAA violation of some kind, the very next day a screen pops open and says - we store your info (This is a brand new statement as it doesn't say this anywhere). Do you agree or not? If you say no - you can't access the software rendering the scale useless. If you say yes then you can use it. There is no opt out method. I don't want my info there. Further, if this company went out of business. It would brick your scale. The scale is accurate in measuring but if you have no local power or a connection to the net - this scale won't work for you at the very least. Live in a mobile home.. Too bad. You might as well get a normal cheaper scale. But what are they doing with the info? Why weren't they up front that they are saving your personal data? What are they doing with it?

Accurate scales
The scales are extremey accurate and consistent. Excellent pairing with mobile phone. The scale is suitable for my size 12s. Nicely designed and a good screen. Easy to read screen and easy to use with phone. Of course, like all smart scales you can take most of the measurements using algorithms with a pinch of salt but I'm hoping some them can provide some insights into body changes. A mode for luggage weighing looks useful and will probably like the pet mode!

Unauthorized seller, Wyze will not honor warranty
After the first use, the bluetooth quit (fault 1) and has not come back. I followed the troubleshooting instructions more than once. When I press the reset button, the screen should read CLR, but there is no response (fault 2). Without bluetooth, the scale does not transmit data to any health app. Furthermore, there are no readings for BMI, body fat, etc. (fault 3). So, I paid a lot of money for a scale that is not "smart" at all. And the nice people at Wyze can't do anything for me (fault 4) because the seller is not authorized (fault 5). Buyer beware, the scale is not worth the price unless it happens to work perfectly. If it does not you are out of luck.

Wyze does it again!
Wyze never misses. Great scale, consistent no matter what type of floor we place it on. App is seamless and connects instantly. Each person can track their own progress through the app which is also very cool. 10/10
