Is Jake fixed in sitting position or movable like he can stand?

It would of been nice for the Jake Sully and Banshee to stand up but no he's in a fixed sitting down position. I hope they fix this problem at McFarland toys .

Does the banshee come off of the stand for kids to play with or is it just for display?

Yes it comes off of display so your children can play with them. Just be careful cause the figures are small and can be lost during play time.

Im having trouble attaching the pole to the banshee. Is it a defect?

Hi! All you have to do is get a hair dryer, put it on the higher heat setting, aim it at the hole/socket on the dragon's belly for 20-30 seconds, then press the ball on the end of the pole into the socket. The heat softens the plastic which makes this super easy, it won't damage it, just be careful not to touch the hot areas and burn your fingers. Let it cool off for 5 minutes or so before posing, and it should stay on very well. This is a common way to assemble toys :).

Could this be played with as a toy? My son is looking to play with it as an action figure. Are there any points of articulation?

It’s definitely more a toy than collectible but the figures are much smaller than action figures. The avatar is probably only like 3” tall. It’s a cute set though.

Not many avatar toys out here. Barren. Purchased for my 7 yo after seeing the 3rd in movie theaters. She doesn’t care it has a stand. That will never get used. The banshee is nice. It’s painted well and wings move. Jake looks funny. Mainly because the face isn’t painted.

For $10, I can't really complain

It's as advertised. I accidentally nipped the braid while cutting all the wires, but that was my own fault (be careful when unpacking). I had one hell of a time getting the pole into the base of the stand, ultimately having to use a meat mallet to pound it home. The decos were also difficult to get in, and aren't the most flattering to the build as a whole... but for $10 you get enough value to chalk up such design flaws to being relatively minor. The is great for someone who loves Avatar, but doesn't want to marry it. Like my mom. I stuck it into her Mother's Day gift basket so she can have a little touch of the film in her home, without breaking the bank or getting too crazy with size/articulation/fanfare. I thought it'd be great to stick the pole in a potted plant instead of the stand, but she wanted the stand (my poor hands) and placed it on a nook atop a bathroom cabinet once I had finished the hard labor of assembly. She's 67 and definitely wouldn't have been able to put this together herself. Not without bloodshed, at least.
