It seems that solar lights are hit or miss with most Amazonians where some give high reviews and others seem to have lemons. I am in the latter group as I have bought a few different types of solar string lights and they start out lovely and then crap out or just stop working (even with new batteries and lots of sunlight to charge them).These lights are really beautiful as the metal outer case makes them more sturdy, attractive, and unique for the string globe types of lights. They are the size of a golf ball and they seem better quality and made in general than other globe types of solar lights that I have ordered here. The wiring also is thicker than the other brands I have ordered. They are made in the USA so another plus. Even though the manufacturer makes the statement that the metal may rust, I think that will actually make them still attractive. Especially iif patina though I don't think the metal will do that effect. They are heavier than most of the globe and other solar lights so good to keep in mind if you are in a high wind area...you may have to teeter them more than the lighter others. I hope they last as they are a unique globe string of lights and my neighbors have given me so many compliments even though they have been up for about a week! They really have a nice look and much more intricate than the simple fairy globe solar string lights. The seller is very helpful and great customer service.As I mentioned, these lights are bigger and heavier than the simple fairy globe solar lights. Very solid and better quality than other solar strung lights I have bought and used .

I absolutely love these lights. I bought two more sets to outline the sides of the pergola over my deck in addition to the edge nearest my lawn. They give off a warm golden glow (as in the picture) and look very classy, and they seem to come on right about the same time, so the dusk sensor is very consistent.I use them in solid-on mode, not blinking. They give just a little extra light so that I can see my deck if I don't turn on the porch light, but it's not enough to see much by--but I bought them for the atmosphere, not for lighting up the yard. So far they have charged great out of the box, and they stay on longer than any other solar-powered lighting I have (I'm not sure quite how long, as they have always still been on when I went to bed, even when coming on around 5-6 p.m. and I passed out watching a movie & didn't head to bed until almost 4 a.m.).Great quality and beautiful design, different from the standard bare-bulb or firefly sized lights you typically see people decorate with. If this is the look you want, you won't regret this purchase.

Delighted when I got these lights. There is a built in rechargeable battery, which apparently was charged a bit because I immediately was able to turn on the lights. Wonderful, romantic glow. If they didn't need to be charged by the sun, I would put them in the bedroom. Love that they have a different. exotic look than regular solar charged lights.I never can estimate off hand from pictures if I am going to love them as much as from the pictures. I would say the lights are as pretty as I expected, but not as colorful or sexy as pictured in the photos. Also, they are smallish... so I see that in order to really make a statement in may patio area, I will need to have at least three of these strings.The batteries are built in, and not replaceable, so you really need to depend on having some sun. That part kinda sucks where I live in California - it is sunny most of the time, but not ALL of the time ...In all, great purchase for the price.

These solar lights are so different than most light shapes. I like them so much. When they arrived, I hung them on my tomato cages in the garden, just for a temporary place to see if they worked at dark. Yes, they work well and come on at dusk, even if it hasn't been sunny all day. Now the tomato plants are huge and tall, and these lights look so cool lighting up my garden at night. I will probably never take them off the plant cages, until winter comes. And even then, I may not move them. Originally, I thought of hanging them on a tree near my front door when the next holiday season arrives. I will probably be purchasing more of these. Have been using these two sets I bought for a long time now, and every day like clockwork, they come on.

These are beautiful very tasteful lights that add a ton of character wherever you use them. The metal balls surrounding the colorful lights are so cute. However, there is a huge issue that makes these useless: Longevity. I live in sunny california and the solar battery soaks up the sun whole day, it turns around the dusk as expected but the lights go off before 9pm. So i usually get around 2-3 hrs of light a day from these . not to mention the first one i ordered stopped working after 2 days and i had to return it but this second one i ordered to give a second chance is making me regret already too. Sometimes it turns off earlier if there is a brighter light around and it doesnt turn back on when that light source disappears .. It doesnt make sense.. I will be returning these too since they are not reliable..

Each ball is about 3/4 inch across. The solar panel is about 4 inches corner to corner. The battery is a 600 maH AA, and can easily be replaced. Despite being entirely too small to be useful to me I am not returning and I replaced the battery with a 2800 maH to make it last all night

Updated to add:The seller replaced the first set of lights within two days! Hopefully these ones will continue to charge, because the lights are gorgeous and the metal balls around the bulbs are quality (no rough spots or untrimmed flashing). I added a star for the fast replacement and will add another if this set lasts longer than the week the first set lasted.Original reviewThese lights worked great for 7 days, then stopped charging for more than an hour of light. They're nice quality, metal casing is clean and the lights makes gorgeous patterns on the wall. I wish they had lasted longer. I will be returning and trying another set.

So far not overtly excitedNot super bright, but as an accent it works.The cord is 15 feet, but only about 10 feet have lights.Will wait and see how well they last now that they're up.Had then about a month now. Just what I wanted they are small but there are many and the wire is nice and long.I have them along my veranda with my others solar lanterns which remind and feel like we’re back on holiday in Marrakesh.I ordered the round and heart shaped and liked them so much that I ordered another of the round lanterns.They charge up very quick and they light up very well. They have different mode settings and are lovely to watch twinkling away in the evenings. I’d defiantly order more and are great value for money.

Lovely lights. Left them outside and the mice got to them, so in future I would be bringing them in after using them. Lovely colour and great for garden parties.
