Inexpensive and high-quality switch for POE IP cameras or phones.
Perfect POE switch for surveillance cameras. I hooked up 6 Hikvision IP cameras to this and it handles them all, 2k streams and all, with no issues. It's only 100mbps, but that's plenty for the application, and it's not managed, but so what...cameras need to be on all the time anyway. Price is right, big quality metal construction for good heat dissipation, and include rack-mount kit all at around $80 make this thing the best value I've found for a business-grade POE switch. I'd definitely buy it again.

This unit was marginal from the beginning and failed within 30 days.
When I first installed this UTT POE switch, it worked. Ivideon server was using 30% of processor time to process 6 Lorex 8005-C (Dahua IPC) cameras. Just 1 day before the return date, the unit failed. I returned the UTT device, and replaced it with a Amcrest 9-Port POE+ Power over Ethernet POE Switch with Metal Housing, 8-Ports POE+ 802.3at 96w (AMPS9E8P-AT-96) . The Amcrest POE switch also worked immediately, but Ivideon server now only uses 20% of the computer's time. It appears that the UTT switch was marginal from the beginning, causing excessive TCP retries to operate the cameras; hence the extra 10% computer time required. The Amcrest switch uses 22 watts for itself and the 6 cameras, so the problem with the UTT switch was not camera power requirement. Some skipping in the video disappeared after changing the switch, so I suspect that the excessive TCP retries were responsible for that problem, too. I can't recommend the UTT POE switch.

No rack mounting brackets included
Nothing included for mounting in a rack. The brackets were shown in the picture.Update: I promptly got the brackets and put them to good use. The unit is working flawlessly and has saved me a ton of money over buying the Allen Heath ME-U at $1599!

Do not purchase
Switch will only provide 802.11af power to 3 of 7 Ubiquiti UniFi G3 camera. Cameras only need 4 Watts each. All 7 worked on a D-Link DGS-1100-08P without a problem and only used 15.8 Watts. This switch did not function as advertised. Also the uplink is only 10/100 Not 10/100/1000 AKA Gigabit.
