If what you want is a cheap HDD enclosure and you don't care too much about quality or design, then it's perfect. As a simple HDD enclosure, it's easy to open and install the HDD into, is fairly lightweight and works reliably. My complaint, however, is the build quality and design. The ripple textured design of the surface makes it feel very cheap in the hand and the quality of the plastic doesn't do much to help with that either. The plastic shell feels thin, cheap and brittle and has very little inside to limit vibration and shock. Overall, the HDD enclosure works, but I wouldn't buy another one based on the issues listed above.UPDATEThe seller gave me a full refund on the item and promised to address my concerns with the product. Much more impressed!

On arrival, the new donor hard drive was ready to be installed. Wow, a quick slide of the cover, click the drive in, connect to USB3 port on my laptop using the supplied USB cable and it was working on windows 11 in seconds. All seems good so far.

Feels quite light but sturdy and made well. Works well and snaps together so no screws to loose.

I've been using computer kit since before Microsoft was born. I've plenty of experience therefore with hard disk enclosures of all types & sizes. Of the five or so of this type this is by far the best, simplest and cheapest I've ever had. The inclusion of a modest, not massive, cable is a bonus for me as well. Connectivity is spot on and my SSD runs a quick as I need. Highly recommended.

Cable length is at a good distance with great quality, also to mention that the hdd i fitted in fit very perfectly with no movement so its easy to fit in, the build quality is at an acceptable rate. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a 2.5 inch hdd or sdd.
