Word Search for Kids Ages 10-12: 100 Word Puzzles for Kids (Word Adventure Books)

This Crosswords for Kids book is a great puzzle book for the age group described, 10-12 year old kids. Even older kids could find it fun and challenging. At first glance I wondered why the puzzles were so big when there were only 12 words to find in each, but realized that this ups the challenge level. Also upping the challenge level is that words can be backward AND diagonal in addition to the usual forward/backward vertical/horizontal, and forward-diagonal. I also liked that each puzzle had a theme and that the words themselves could prompt vocabulary discussions with some of my students who may not be familiar with all the words. I like to use crosswords while we do mindfulness time, so I think this book will be a good addition to our classroom collection. Students who enjoy coloring during mindfulness time can also color the little pictures on each page.

I like that the puzzles are detailed and tough!I’m sending this book to my young nephews and nieces, and I’m using it as a prize for my 4th grade classroom activities.The puzzles take 20-30 minutes to complete, so the kids might be amply challenged and engaged to not only search for the words, but also learn new vocabulary in the process.There’s a variety of themes included from Home Improvement, Pizza Toppings, and Plants - so one learns of refreshes on the vocab by these topics. Overall, this is a great activity for young learners!

Take along this sturdy, colorful paperback as a boredom buster for your family road trip, or bring it to the waiting room at the next doctor’s appointment. It has a wide variety of themes that will stretch your child’s knowledge and vocabulary and even help them to brush up on spelling skills. The large print makes it easy on the eyes and simpler to spot words. The topic-related sketches next to the “words to find” lists are absolutely adorable! It's attractive cover and “This book belongs to ________” page make it a nice gift idea.

This book offers not only the word searches but an educational aspect - each page has a different theme, ranging from movie genres to mythical creatures to constellations. There are also corresponding illustrations at the bottom of each page that could be colored in if you wanted to. Overall I would highly recommend this book and I'm excited to give it to my daughter!

This word search is a fantastic puzzle book that keeps kids entertained and challenged. The puzzles are perfectly tailored to their age group, providing just the right level of challenge. It's an excellent way for them to improve their vocabulary and problem-solving skills while having fun.

I purchased this set for our 6-year-old granddaughter for her first vegetable garden. When I saw how rugged these tools are, I plan on purchasing a set for myself, too. Small, but needed around the garden in tight areas without the worry of bending, folding, or breaking.
