I had the 1st edition after I completed massage school, this edition is nice has more information and a lot bigger.

The hardcover version is absolutely incredible. I can’t believe it cost less than $30. It would cost HUNDREDS if it were a schoolbook.

This book is incredibly detailed and comprehensive, covering all bodily functions thoroughly. While some structures aren’t explored as deeply as I would prefer, overall, it’s an excellent resource. I am a little bummed out with the exterior looks of the book. Mine came with several marks/scuffs and it was not packaged properly at all. I ordered it new but I have a feeling it’s used because of the markings and crumbs in some of the pages. I would return it in hopes of getting one in pristine condition but looking at other reviews I think mine is decent.

The vivid images provided in this book quickly transported me into complete immersion of human anatomy. The elysian artwork captures my interest and provides me invaluable information making it a truly unforgettable book. I am currently in nursing school and re-educating myself so as not to forget vital understanding of anatomy and physiology. Knowledge fades so I invested in this book to retain what I have, and it has far surpassed expectations. I have taken many classes relating to this field including anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pathophysiology, and will be taking advanced pathophysiology. Therefore I can say that this book has more than enough information for nurses, possibly physician assistants, and nurse practitioners relating to anatomy. This book is not a substitute for college classes however I would wager only a physician could recite most of the information provided in it from memory. It is truly a work of art and I doubt I will ever know the entirety of the information written in it. The negatives of this book include the small print and horizontal pages. Overall the price is very reasonable for what you receive.

Fantastisch!! Prachtig boek, prachtige illustraties, super informatief! Ik was bang voor de prijs dat het niet de diepte in zou gaan maar dat is zeker wel het geval! Dit boek is veel meer waard dan het kost en een aanrader voor iedereen met interesse in wat er binnen in ons huist en gebeurt :)

Das Buch gefällt mir sehr gut und ist, wie vieles von DK, vor allem grafisch sehr stark. Ich hab bewusst die Englische Ausgabe gekauft. Mit 23€ ein absolutes Schnäppchen, wenn man bedenkt, wie dick und gross das Buch ist. Da muss man schon eine sehr grosse Auflage haben, um alleine die Druckkosten wieder reinzuholen. Ich bin kein Mediziner, sondern habe mir das Buch als interessierter Laie gekauft. Ist jetzt nichts, was ich von A-Z lesen oder durcharbeiten würde, eher als Bildband, zum immer wieder Blättern. Toll finde ich auch, dass es sogar MRI-Bilder gibt, damit hätte ich nicht gerechnet. Viele Doppelseiten im Hochformat, wo man das Buch drehen muss. Man braucht schon etwas Platz, um es anzuschauen. Das Buch kam bei mir in einer zusätzlichen Plastikverpackung (recht gut geschützt). Trotzdem war der Umschlag und einige Seiten leider nicht in 100% perfekter Verfassung, sondern mit (sehr kleinen) Mängeln (leicht eingedrückt). Das meiste davon konnte ich aber wieder zurechtbiegen und reinigen. Amazon könnte beim Versenden solcher Bildbände noch etwas vorsichtiger sein. Aber in Anbetracht des sehr tiefen Preises belasse ich die Bewertung bei 5 Sternen.
