THE ZRC DIFFERENCE: The ZRC difference is made possible by ZRC's high zinc content (95% by weight in the dried film) of "ultra pure" (ASTM D 520 Type III) zinc dust, ensuring that more metallic zinc is available for superior galvanic protection against corrosion. This high purity zinc dust is compounded with a tenacious non-encapsulating binder using a highly controlled trade secret process in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The result is a self

Great product
This product works great. Probably the heaviest gallon of paint I've ever picked up. So you get what you pay for. Very thick paint that goes on easily and covers very well. It did require 2 coats to be sufficient on bare steel I used it for. But that was manufacturer recommendations also. There is only 1 complaint I have about the paint is that after it dries the final color is not that of new galvanizing. It's the color and finish of galvanizing that's been weathered for a couple of years. A flat gray color instead of a medium gloss silver/gray appearance. My customer loves the look so it worked out for me. Just be aware of that if your looking for a product that looks like it's been hot dipped galvanized that's not what this paint will give.

A more permanent solution for the Chain Link fence!
For years, I had been touching up the top rails and posts on my chain link fence with zinc spray. This has been an Excellent solution for a 30 year old fence (compared to the neighbors'), but the zinc was wearing through on the chain link itself and spray was Not-A-Solution. After considering the problem, the gallon of zinc paint combined with a 9" paint roller with 1/2" nap was the Fix!. The best direction (for best coverage) is the "rough roll," to say hit the 'peaks and troughs' on both sides. The work goes quickly. I did 500' of fenceline, both sides, in two days (in the cooler portion of the morning). Be aware that 'zinc is heavy,' and the roller will not want to cooperate in the paint tray. The paint goes a LONG way through. In 2021 dollars, $170 to re-coat 500 feet of chain link INSTEAD OF replacing it...PRICELESS!

Good Product
I used the opportunity to recoat the galvanized steel walls of my 33-year-old vinyl liner pool since we are replacing the liner. I was pleased with the results. Be aware that this product takes a very long time to stir and get the settled zinc into suspension... 20 minutes for the one-gallon can I purchased. I knocked my rating down one star because the product did not cover at the stated rate. I had to purchase another quart to finish the job. I suspect two reasons: 1) It does not cover as much area with a brush, which I used to cut in around the edges and recoat the steel steps. 2) I noticed the product thickening about halfway through the job, probably the result of the vehicle evaporating (it was 78 and sunny). Looking back, I should have thinned it when I noticed this problem.

Great buy!
Touched up a grain bin roof with this paint. Covered well, matched the galvanized metal well.

Heavy
This stuff is heavy! And hard to stir but it is zinc! Once stirred well it goes on easy. Used to paint a galvanized pool wall.

This is the real deal, but bottom 2" was rock hard
Good coverage. I just hope that the rock hard 2" at the bottom of the gallon didn't contain all of the zinc.
