Very well made
This clamp is very well made. The caveat here is that I haven't recorded or played live with it yet, but it holds a Shure 57 quite well. Once I test it I will probably buy additional ones. Only 4 stars since I haven't used it for its intended purpose.

Very useful
You can quickly connect and release and get this to hold many things including mic, iPads, phones. Amazingly strong and secure I bought three for my gear bag.

Good but a few annoyances.
These are really handy to have and can clear up a ton of clutter by removing mic stands from a recording or live sound situation BUT they can rotate loose from the 1/4" screw depending on the mounting angle and you have to loosen the thumbscrew on the rotating ball to change position and it can be tricky to tighten that back up while maintaining the position that you need. I made it work but feel like there is probably a better design that would prevent those annoyances.I wrapped e-tape around the sliding metal part on the clamp side to prevent vibration. I almost wish there was a way to temporarily remove that once your clamp is in place.

Works for me!
Wish I could add a cone-spot to my camera tripod so I don’t clutter the work area with a second tripod… wish I could add a mic holder to my speaker tripod for our outdoor parties… wish there was a way to put a flood light beside this light box, so I could wash out the background on this portrait, but there is no way to get another light stand in there… First-world problems, I know, but this little guy solves those and more. Bigger/beefier than expected, and waaayyy more stable. Not cheap because it is not “cheap.” It is well made, and it does the job.
