For the grandsons
Bought these so the grandkids could throw them at the target we built in the backyard. The work great. Even the supervising adults take a turn.

Mostly good, but short handle carve outs aren't great
I have only thrown them a couple of times. I will say there is a lot to like, but not perfect. The design makes them really forgiving to the beginning thrower, and allow you to stick it in the target on most throws (once accustomed to basics of release/distance/rotation) with the dual blades and multiple blade points. I have smaller hands for a man, and still find the handle carve out length short, so I really only hold it with 3 fingers, and awkwardly rap my pinky on the bottom side of the slanted handle end (disappointing). It comes with tiny plastic guards over the blade point ends, I can see without them how the blades could eat through the case as others have complained. I taped the end of the knives with red tape to make them easier to track in the air and find if there is a misfire (SMART idea), I have appreciated the colored hatchet handles also for that reason. The knives also come with just the point sharp, so I'll grind them on a wheel a bit to give them a little more forgiving blade penetration radius, but they are safer to throw from all angles the way they come, which is an unglamorous sturdy utility cut blank. But you won't mind hurling them at anything, but they will clang quite loudly if you are just hacking away at a target and not getting it right.

Nice and sharp!
If you are thinking about getting throwing axes and knives, this is the set to get! This is my second set from this company. My first set was smaller, but now we have an upgrade. I love that the axes are all one metal piece so there isn't any risk of snapping at the handle. Plus the axes have a back blade too for sticking to the wood on both sides. This is particularly great if you aren't the best at throwing yet like me. I particularly love the knives because they are easier to throw. An extra plus is the whetstone the set comes with so you can keep it just as sharp as it comes. Seriously though, if you like throwing axes, this is the set for you. I love it!

Knives are decent but the real winner is the axes!!
Good steel, I throw pretty hard and so when I don’t stick it, that’s when you can tell the quality of steel you got. These are good. They are on the lighter side of throwing knives/axes which is great for my teenage kids that have joined me for the fun. The axes stick like THUNK!

Great product for backyard fun
The axes and throwing blades present well out of the box, great Christmas gift. In comparison to the others available online, this was the best product in that price range and were not disappointed. It has been added to our backyard family fun. Holds up well, no damage, sharp out of the box. Build a target, don't throw at random trees or wood pieces. Great for the price, I was impressed.

Meh…A real review after hundreds of throws
When I opened these up I really wanted to like them. They look decent at first but they were light in my hand compared to my other axes (which are generally thought of as “light” themselves). After spending a couple of hours with these axes (I haven’t bothered with the knives) I can tell you this: They are too light for serious throwing, the handles are screwed on and vibrate on hitting the target unless you tighten them down, they are not all that well balanced, and the feel of the axes in your hand is a bit awkward as the handles are a bit squared rather than actually being round or oval.All-in-all, if I had it to do over, I would spend a few more $ and buy something a bit more substantial.
