Working as well as Surface
Update: after running Windows 10 Creator Update, my keyboard stopped working after sleep mode. I had to detach and reconnect the keyboard to bring it back to work.Definitive solution: just uninstall ASUS Keyboard Lock (Control Panel/Programs/Uninstall a program), download the new driver in ASUS's official website (Utilities/ASUS Keyboard Lock) and install the new driver. Now the keyboard works properly.=========I received this Transformer Pro T304UA (i7, 16Gb, 512Gb) two weeks ago and have been using this laptop every day. The experience has been very good so far.Comparing it side-by-side to my old laptop (a Surface Pro 4 i7 gen 6, 8Gb, 256Gb), this ASUS is not performing worse. It runs even faster than my Surface thanks to the configuration and probably because it still doesn't have as many programs as I have installed in the Surface. So I can consider it working as well as Surface. The pen and the keyboard have been working well. Different to other reviews, my keyboard doesn't disconnect after suspended mode. Maybe I was really lucky...The only two issues against this Asus are:1) the cooler, which seems to be on all the time; and2) the battery doesn't last much. And these are the reason why I am giving only 4 stars for this device.Overall, and so far, I am considering this purchase really cost-effective. A Surface with the same configurations is costing the double of the price I paid for this Asus.*Tip for new owners, the fingerprint sensor is the power on-off button.

Dont buy it!!! warning!!!
very fast, light, good quality picture. Only issue, after computer leave on sleep, when you turn it on, it does not connect to the keyboard, you have remove and attach the keyboard again!!I change my opinion, 09/10/18. A company like Asus can not figure out and fix a problem. the keyboard is horrible, you can not do simple job easily, mouse is not stable, can not use the mouse, I do not recommend it, buy different brand, since they do not care about issue. I regrated, don't buy it.

A little disappointed, always had a good experience with ASUS
Ordered this unit the beginning of Sept and the battery arrived deal and will not charge. Only worked with the AC adapter. Returned it to Amazon with no problem. Ordered another one, and the battery was dead but I was able to charge it. Noticed that the battery was draining with the unit shutdown. Tried disabling hibernate, wake on LAN, fast start up in Windows and the Bios and it was still draining about 10% per 24 hours. Updated all drives and Windows updates and no change. Rather then sent this back and possibly get another with the battery issue, sent it on for repair. It's sad that having it for less than 2 weeks and it requires repair. Hope they replace the battery and check for any shorting in the system. I believe that it's a battery issue, if it was a short, it would have completely discharged in 24 hours. Will post an update after I get it back.

Perfect Upgrade From Surface Pro 3
Subtracting 1 star due to shipping & delivery issues, which a couple phone calls later, resolved the issue.I work in the sysadmin, networking, and security IT industry, while doing web development in my personal time. I looked over the other review's but didn't find them useful to my purchasing decision. Since most seemed like minor fixable issues. The unit itself is a perfect beast of 2-in-1 device on an amazing price compared to other's. A little background, I bought the Surface Pro 3 back in 2015 for $1800 when 2-in-1 devices were still relatively in their early stage's. I bought this device purely for performance, so a high performing graphics card wasn't as important since I have a dedicated custom built machine for that. The CPU, RAM, and device security was important factors, while also not shelling out $$$$ for no reason.I bought this for about $1161, and enjoy I can use my fingerprint instead of my face to sign in. I haven't looked, but the Surface Pro 3 allowed me to disable the cam & mic at the BIOS level. I only saw a mic option in the BIOS on this unit, but the cam & mic are usually 1 modular unit.Anyway everyone complained of various issue's, and after updating my firmware & driver's, those were a moot point. I did notice another reviewer also updated theirs and didn't have any issue's.While benchmarks are important, I think in real world performance, since I have a lot of business client's, they usually want to know exactly what to expect, not just number's. Using this device accomplished everything I threw at it and more, and the port's covered everything I need, I utilize all of them.I'm extremely happy with my purchase, and would recommend to other IT professionals, or enthusiasts who want performance on the go, when they can't use their custom rig.

Loving it.
I have been using this for a week now, love the product. People were complaining about the fan being too loud, and they keep hearing the fan kick in, ran this thing at full throttle for over six hours and did not hear the fan at all, sure it feels warm at the back, but nothing that is not tolerable, my wife has a competitive brand that she uses and the temp on that was similar to this, so there is not big hooha on it. Only differences hers is an LTE model which a sim card can be inserted, this does not. I can always turn on my phones hotspot to use, and it connects faster than my wife's.

Happy with this product
I like the speed and portability of this computer/tablet. I do have one criticism tho. For some reason when it goes into sleep mode, I have to reattach the keyboard to get the keyboard to work again. Not sure if that’s by design or a flaw.Update: I followed the instrauctions as described by another reviewer/user, TCC and fixed the keyboard issue. A pain in the backside to have to do something like this but works great now. At least Asus provides a solution. Just wish it had been easier to find.

Powerful, stylish and lightweight
Powerful and stylish yet light enough to travel with without tiring you during your dashes through the airport. I replaced a T300 with this because I wanted more horsepower and I am not disappointed. It's Asus's just as good but far less expensive answer to the Surface Pro.
