It's average
I guess it's "giant," at least compared to real spiders. I collect Halloween spiders for exterior decoration, so for me, it was fairly average in size. The noise generator is VERY loud, and goes on and on, so we turned that off immediately. It's covered in fabric, so I wouldn't put it outside in an uncovered spot. Also, the arms aren't really flexible enough to make it hold onto anything, as in with a grip. But, in all, the spider looks good in an interior or covered location if you don't need it to hang onto anything, and if you don't plan on turning it on (what a SCREECH, ugh!). Shipping was fairly quick.

Very disappointed and would strongly advise purchasing one of the many ...
Changing from 2 stars to 1 star. Battery operated functionality doesn't work. I've seen the seller's comments of "you have to hit it to make it work". Even tapping it results in pieces of the black hair falling out and still doesn't work. Advertised size is not even close to actual size - and that's measuring from the the legs outstretched flat at the longest possible distance. Very disappointed and would strongly advise purchasing one of the many similar products available.

THE BATTERY OPERATED LIGHT ON THE FACE DOES NOT WORK!!
HORRIBLE product. Yes it looks like a spider but I bought it because of the built in feature to light up the head with a battery operated box. THE BOX DID NOT WORK AND WHEN I ADDED A BATTERY THE SWITCH THAT IS SUPPOSED TO TURN THE LIGHTS ON AND OFF collapsed inside the box and I couldn’t even get to it to try to Fix it. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY AND NO OPTION TO RETURN OR GET A REFUND. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!

Didn't work
I was excited to get this for our halloween decorations. When I put batteries in nothing happened and I was really disappointed. Although it was repackaged nicely it wasn't the original packaging which made me wonder if it never worked. Definitely returning for a refund.

Sounds and lights did not work
Did not work :( I put in 2 different sets of batteries and the lights and sounds didn't work at all. Didn't want to go through the hassle of returning so we kept it and displayed it anyway. Disappointed
