I bought these before a bisalp procedure because I had heard you could bleed after and you’re not allowed to use anything internally like tampons or a cup. I have been a religious cup user for about 6 years now but I had a feeling that pulling on my cup to remove it was contributing a lot to my cramping during my cycle. Not only did these work great for post-surgery and are easy to remove without having to bend over due to the tearing feature, but they’re working great for my period now too. Even on my heaviest day, these undies absorbed everything and I had no leaks. For context, on my heaviest day, I will fill up a normal size cup in about 4-6 hours (or a super plus tampon in about 3-4 hours). I haven’t used pads since middle school and I always hated that feeling of sitting in your own blood. I don’t get that feeling with these at all. It is taking some time for me to stop clenching every time I feel myself bleeding, after a lifetime of that meaning my cup/tampon is leaking haha, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised that these undies are comfy, absorbent, and I feel confident that I won’t have a big old spot of blood on my butt walking around. I also am happy to say that my cramping has decreased dramatically now that I’m not pulling anything out while I’m sensitive. I’ve been totally converted to period undies and will be looking for a reusable solution now. But these were a great stepping stone and I would absolutely recommend them!!

I wore these every day for several weeks after my c-section, and they were amazing! It’s definitely one of my very top recommendations to anyone postpartum, but especially post c-section. They are soft and super absorbent, while also being discrete and comfortable to wear. They stretch to fit nicely without putting pressure on any particular spots like a typical waistband would. I never felt any uncomfortable friction or pressure on my incision from these underwear. The panties and pads I got from the hospital were nice too, but these were just so much easier to deal with and stayed in place better / felt more secure.

I usually wear cloth menstrual pads because disposable ones have chemicals that irritate my skin, but my midwife insisted that I wear something disposable postpartum for better moisture wicking after my vaginal birth. Since these are organic and chemical free, I had no irritation. They felt like I was luxuriously pampering myself since they are so soft and comfortable. And they’re even a little pretty, too, with the side ruffles! With padding all the way up the front and back, I had no leaks even overnight. The tear away feature on the side also came in handy sometimes when I had restrictions on bending over. Overall, definitely a pleasure and absolutely worth it postpartum.

I bought these to wear during my recovery after laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and this was without a doubt the best purchase I made in preparation for surgery. These are veeery light and stretchy and go right over my bloated belly and incisions. They sit 1-2 inches above my belly button. They provide my incisions with some protection yet are so soft and light I don’t really feel them. Finding options that were made of organic cotton was also very important to me because I have sensitive skin in all the ways and normal period products and synthetic fabrics irritate my skin and give me rashes. I’ve been wearing these disposable underwears by Rael for about a week day and night since my surgery and they have been amazing at keeping things breathable and irritation-free for my skin—no sweating, itching or rashes. I also love that the padding goes all the way from the back opening to the front opening and is well-designed to catch any leaks from any sides so I haven’t had to worry at all. The only thing is that I don’t know how these would look or fit under pants since I’ve only been wearing them under t-shirt dresses and gowns with nothing else for bottoms. However, I think it’s best to not wear pants for a while after giving birth or having pelvic surgery for a while anyway!

I bought a few options to try after coming home from the hospital and these are by far my favorite. You just put them on, they're absorbent, and they feel good on verse some of the other options. True to size as well. Highly recommend!

Super good quality and good thickness. They absorb a lot and are great for periods and postpartum stuff. Soft and comfortable and work well. Not super stretchy which is ok cause they hold you in. The only thing I didn’t like is they are not cute looking on which most diapers aren’t but there are some on the market that are better looking and don’t feel as much like a diaper as this one. Overall great for around the house and the first week postpartum!

I bought these based on other reviews and found them to be wonderful. I wore them a little longer than needed because they were so comfortable and breathable, and it was nice while recovering to have one less item to with about washing. I made them last just a bit longer by putting pads inside them and changing out, though I still changed at least 1-2 times daily. They never smelled bad or felt uncomfortable. I will probably never use a different brand unless I'm forced to!I was nervous about what since to order, I'm 5'10" and usually run size 6-8 pants when not pregnant, but I wasn't sure about immediately after birth. I did end up ordering S/M and felt very comfortable. I think I could have ordered either size and been fine.

Buy them! You wont be disappointed. I bought them for my postpartum needs and honestly, the other brands cannot compare. I go a C-section and it's been a rough recovery but these have been a lifesaver! They are soft and comfortable to wear. Super stretchy and gentle around the belly. They hold a lot of blood as well. True to size and the best quality, especially if you want something that is more eco friendly. I'm so impressed by them, I am writing this review at 2 am on day 4 of C-section recovery! Totally worth every penny!
