Great quality and a good price @£16.15
Currently, these are great. They're shipped from China so there's every chance they will be swapped out in the future for something inferior as seems to happen on Amazon all the time. This review is based on what I received. I'm used to the ceramic candle British Berkfield filters. These filters seem to produce better tasting water from tap water. They take a little longer to prepare than the British Berkfield filters but it's not onerous and according to the packet a pair of filters will process 6000 gallons of water before needing replacement. If that's the case, then these would last me almost 4 years. They filter water at super speed in comparison to ceramic filters so you no longer have to remember much in advance to refill. Considering the cost and the stated longevity these are superb value. If they only last 6 months they still represent a significant saving over British Berkfield filters at £16.15 which was the price when I bought. Any longer would be a bonus. I bought a second set a week after receiving. Best case scenario I have 8 years of clear water for ~£30, if they last six months I have just saved about £60 this year.

I will definitely continue to try non-OEM filters for my Berkey, and these taste great, and have a great flow at first, but quickly become slow and clogged. It took 3 years for my Berkey filters to clog as much as these did in 3 months.

I bought these filters about a week ago because I listened to some guy on YouTube who shared a tutorial about how to clean the filters with baking soda, I don't think it was a good idea because my filters just stopped filtering, I installed the fluoride filters I had as a back up thinking that would solve the problem, but priming them was a problem, I'm talking about the original Berkey fluoride filters, as least I thought they were original since I paid a pretty penny for them and they came with the Berkey, the water just wasn't filtering no matter how many times I tried to prime them, I tried to contact C/S from the info I had on the order receipt they told me they were Berkey Dealers and I didn't buy from them, I soon realize there were a ton of Berkey dealers out there using a ton of different logos, it was horrible to even imagine I paid close to $400 for a water filter I thought was legit I've only had it for two years, I thought about donating it but when I realize the fake filters will always be out there I decided to keep it, let it rest for a while and try something else, water distiller, and all the rest, it was so many I became confused about who to trust, I started buying that expensive Mountain Spring water in the green glass bottle I felt better about that as I'm not into plastic if I can help it, SO! After a process of elimination I decided to get these filters, good price, not much of a loss if they didn't do the job, I had to get something fast, I got that stinky New York tap water filled my Berkey and waited, and guess what? NO stinky chlorine smell whatsoever, I filtered three or more gallons still smelling clean, I stuck with my mountain Spring water for drinking tho, because these filters don't remove fluoride, I decided to get the fluoride filters from this same company, only to realize my worse nightmare had came through, in BIG bold letters in red printed on the plastic bag they came in, MADE IN CHINA!! I don't support ANYTHING that was made in China even though that leaves me with not much options, I'm just frightened to trust them with ANYTHING, I put my mask on to place the item back into the package, that's how fearful I am of them, lol, and I'm planning to return it......The black filters are made from charcoal/ coconut, they're not dense you can hear the water filtering out, these fluoride filters are white and dense you don't know what kind of chemicals/toxins were used in the process of creating them to filter fluoride which is a very complex process, all in all I love these black filters....
