Really Impressed with This Thing
To be straightforward, this is my first try at cutting glass, so I haven't experienced other makes/types of cutters, but this thing is so easy to use that I found myself thinking, "REALLY??? THAT'S ALL IT TAKES???" The results are perfect.I also got a set of Tanstic Glass Running Pliers for doing the actual break. I don't know how I'd be able to tell how much of my (up till now) success is due to the cutter tool, and how much was due to the glass running pliers, but the results have been so consistent and effortless that I think both deserve applause.I have only done straight cuts so far, and I've probably only done 15 to 25 cuts in all, but I haven't had a failed cut yet using these. In a couple instances, where I was lazy in my scoring (and didn't go *quite* all the way to the end of the glass), I ended up with a little bit of excess that I had to chip off, but I've found that there's no need to score repeatedly, as some have told me I need to do, but rather just one clean score that goes all the way. If you can hear that nauseating "nails on a chalkboard" sound, you're doing it perfectly.I've also only done fairly thin glass. I have some window/screen-door glass pieces I've collected over the years (some of which have already broken--I can use it since the pieces I've needed are smaller than the fragments), thinking I'd one day make a greenhouse or something. Haven't done that yet, but I have made a couple square terrariums, a shadow box, and a top for an aquarium that I'm using for plant propagation.I can see great potential for stained glass, too.Anyway, if this is your first go at cutting glass, I HIGHLY recommend these. If you're very experienced with cutting glass, I'd love to hear your take on them, because I gather from other cutters that it's supposed to be harder than it is for me.

Worked like a charm
I was concerned when the package arrived because the seal was broken. But I needed a glass cutter, so decided to give it a try and return if it was no good. The cutter scored the glass beautifully. The glass snapped cleanly on the score. The bulk of the "blade" holder makes it a little difficult to see exactly where the score will land, but that bulk should make it sturdier.

Works really well
I used this to cut a mirror for my truck. I bought a tall, cheap mirror from the store and a glass cutter from an auto parts store. I ended up using all of the mirror because the cutter wouldn’t cut unless I used extreme pressure. It’s hard to be precise while exerting half my body weight onto a pencil-like object. I decided to look on Amazon. I got this cutter because it had good reviews. I also got a 12-pack of 12”x12” mirror tiles because I thought I would need extras. This cutter was so smooth and required much less pressure than the other one I had. It took me about 20 minutes to setup my workspace, cut the mirror, and clean up. The difference is ridiculous. This cutter was amazingly easy to use. It makes me want to buy more simply to support this company. Awesome!

"Professional" Glass Breaker!!
Bought 5his to cut down some large wall mirrors. You can see the outcome. They should package garbage bags and vacuum cleaners with this piece of crap. It scored the glass but not enough. Mirror broke pretty much every where besides where I needed it. Waste of money. Off to the glass shop!

Cuts well but makes a mess
This cuts well but dumps too much oil out with every cut.

Feels solid in the hand and WORKS GREAT!
Much better than the glass cutter that came with my fuse works microwave kiln. I was getting really frustrated with my cuts of glass for my new microwave kiln. I even went to ACE Hardware & bought another, although similar looking tool that ended with the same results so I took it back. Eventually I ordered this one and what a difference a good tool can make. I’ve had mostly success with this tool, the unsuccessful being user error. I went back to the original glass cutter thinking that maybe, now that I had the hang of it, I could make it work for me - not so. It still didn’t work for me. SO glad I purchased this one.
