I’m a baker by profession, which means I work with my hands and they get pretty banged around on a daily basis. I recently took up doing dip powder manicures at home as a hobby and my job puts my nails up against all the elements: heat, cold, sharp objects, heavy lifting, lots of hand washing. All of the worst conditions for keeping a long lasting manicure.I bought this base/top coat set (based on their reputation for durability) along with a few other brands (including Modelones) trying to find my personal preference. Cons: The Venalisa set was on the higher end of the price point of all the brands I’ve tried (maybe twice as expensive as the Modelones set I purchased depending on the current deals available. Also the Venalisa brand goes on thickly unless you’re very mindful of your application. On the other hand… Pros: with the right prep and attention to application and curing, this brand goes on crystal clear with a high polish shine (think cut crystal sparkling compared to more basic glass like shine of some of the other brands I’ve tried). And it sets rock hard.This top coat stands up to 3-4 weeks of constant stress with no dulling of the shine, no chips or peeling. Worth every penny, the best hands down! 💅

Did my own gel manicure at home using Deep Red in some nails. It lasted more than 2 weeks with no chipping, no changing color, no fading shine.

I had used Gelish polishes, including their base and top coat for many years. The last time I purchased a set, I was extremely disappointed. My nails would chip right away, even though I did a thorough nail prep. I finally started to look for another product, but had my doubts. I recently purchased the Venalisa Base Coat and Top Coat and used it last week for the first time. WOW - I am amazed with the product. They are in full size bottlers and go on very smoothly. Using an LED lamp for 60 seconds for each coat, the results were awesome. The shine is wonderful and the coverage perfect and there is no sticky residue to wipe off after using the top coat. I don't know how the removal will be, but all I can say is that this is a reliable quality product that I highly recommend and worth the price.

This color is amazing. I took this to the nail salon and got ask tech to use as my color. Tech was do impressed with the quality and color, asked me where I got it and asked me to show him.

It brushes on smoothly, not runny. Liked the final color look. I will say the pigment is light. I had to do 3 coats to get it this dark . I did 2 thin coats . Nuked for 60 to 120 seconds just to make sure it cures. The last coat I applied thickish just because there were small areas that still looked kinda splotchy . Like lighter areas, even though I gave it a good shake. But again the color is so nice so if you have the patience like I did to apply the coats then you are good .

One coat coverage on white! Wow it's amazing!! 30s in the lamp and it's dry to the touch to create the design. The picture is 1 coat that's all... with white... 1 coat..!! And it's pure white the white ive been looking for! Also it goes on smooth and self leveling!

The product itself is good but the color isn’t true to the photos at all. Good consistency and staying power, decent opacity. The brush lays the product on a little thick so I used my own but that’s just personal preference. My issue is the color bc it’s not at all like what’s depicted on in the product photos. It’s like a rosy, brownish mauve with an almost grey undertone rather than the rich brown in the images. Disappointing bc I’d been trying to find this color for awhile and had high hopes. It was so off that I double checked the item code a few times to make sure I hadn’t just received the wrong thing (JD38). Maybe I just got some from a weird batch. The other colors I bought were fine so idk.

I have been doing my own nails for about 5 years now. I started with acrylic, moved onto doing apres gel, and now using builder gel to grow my natural nails. I’ve used gel polish almost entirely for those 5 years. After all the gel polishes I have tried, this one has to be one of my favorite.The gel polish is so easy to work with. It has a thick consistency, so I don’t find myself flooding my cuticle when applying the polish (especially when I use my non dominant hand). The consistency also allows for me not to have to dip the brush back into the bottle often, as product slowly runs down the brush at the perfect speed to continue painting nails. This color definitely needed two coats (for a more opaque application), but I would expect that out of any gel. Definitely a good experience with this gel polish for such an affordable price!
