An essential!
I’ve bought these religiously. They are easy to tear, functional, great hold. I’ve gone as far as to call these my best friend when it comes to my business. They work great to keep cords safely secured to the ground whether it’s indoors or outdoors. They’re easy to use, thick enough so give cords a good layer and avoid people tripping on them. I’ve also a used it to keep stands up, I had a kid fall on one of my backdrops and it stood tall with the set up I have on the pictures I provided.Because it’s a very strong hold be careful not to get it stuck to itself or it will be very hard to come off. I carry a small pocket razor knife for these situations just in case. Also, keep these indoors. If left in the sun or heat, these will stick to themselves and cause that white tape effect with no adhesive. I learned my lesson with one roll.

Yay! Gaffer tape that works!
I used gaffer tape to “temporarily” patch up some carpeting in the church (yeah, not it’s intended use, not for long-term) and it was shriveling up. I dug up the roll of tape we had used before, and it was nasty, lumpy on the roll, supper sticky. I pulled up some of the shriveling tape, and it left a dark, adhesive residue, something that previous tapes had not done. Looking at our Amazon purchases, I noticed we had gone “economy” based on ratings, What a mistake! We went back to this brand, and while it is hiding the sins of the “economy” tape, I am confident that when it comes time to renew the “temporary carpet fix” till we can get new carpet, that the tape will be easily removed and replaced as needed. Great stuff, the real gaffer tape.

Much better than duct tape for a lot of things
I can't believe it took me this long to realize how useful gaffers tape is. It doesn't leave residue behind like duct tape often does, and it holds well on a lot of different surfaces. It tears easily, and I have been using it for temporarily binding two things together as well as semi-permanently repairing something. I have used it on the roof over our sun room to repair old caulk until i have the time to permanently fix it. And I have only had it a short time, so I expect to continue finding new uses.

Good Tape for Most Uses, But Lacks Outdoor Adhesion
I recently purchased the Lockport Black Gaffers Tape 2 inch - 4 Pack, and for the most part, it has met my expectations. The tape is of good quality and works well for various indoor applications. It adheres strongly to different surfaces and leaves no residue when removed, which is a huge plus. The water-resistant feature also ensures that it holds up well in slightly damp conditions. However, I encountered an issue when using it outdoors on my running track. The tape did not stick well in this environment. Maybe I'm asking too much of it, but I was hoping it would adhere better to the track. For most indoor uses and less demanding outdoor applications, this tape works great.Overall, the Lockport Black Gaffers Tape is a solid choice for general use. It's reliable, leaves no residue, and is water-resistant, making it suitable for many situations. Just be aware that it may not perform as well in more challenging outdoor conditions.

Terrible. Waste of Money & Time.
I bought this brand to replace a different brand of Gaffers tape that my husband had. I was extremely impressed by how high quality and sticky it was; which was the first time I had experience with Gaffers Tape at all. I’m prefacing that to say, I thought this type of tape would be great in any brand based off my 1st experience, so I chose in this brand with the expectation it would be just as amazing, durable, and almost infinitely sticky. To my surprise Gaffers tape is pricey- so I bought this brand because it was 2 rolls for a great price. This was a total mistake. This brand is NOT as good of a material and and it is not durable AT ALL. I used it to seal up the air pockets in the windows where I have my portable heater exhausts so air wouldn’t seep in, but after a few days almost every piece of tape started to lift and fall off. I found strips in every window I did this for (which was 4). So when I thought I was saving money and getting a good deal, I was actually just losing money. Now I have to spend more to replace the tape itself. Furthermore, I now have to spend double the time redoing my work. Which honestly p*sses me off more. I do not suggest this brand of tape- please learn from my mistake and don’t allow the allure of a few dollars saved deceive you into purchasing this brand. Get the good *ish the 1st time around. You’ll be much happier.

Perfect for what I needed
This tape was exactly what we needed. We were taping down a Marley floor for a dance intensive. This tape was reasonably priced and great quality tape.

My Reliable Standard
I've been using this consistently for about 6 years now. When I first bought it I was working for a club where the budget was tight, and this gaffer tape is slightly less expensive than some other brands out there. So I gave it a go and turns out it works just as well for my purposes as anything else I've ever used. I continue to recommend and purchase this tape regularly. For working in sensitive spaces like art galleries are just fancy music venues and events, you want to be using tape that wont mark up any floors or surfaces. However you still need it to be sticky enough to work. This tape has the perfect balance of stickiness with a general lack of leaving residue of any kind. Its easy to rip and partition any which way, and in doing so you aren't left with tape than can then unravel or degrade more easily. It doesn't leave residue on my cables either which is a problem with other tape I've used.Regarding the sizing the 2inch option is a good standard to use for everything. However go with the 3inch option if you are consistently taping multiple cables, as it will speed up your workflow a bit. 2 strips of 2 inch can handle bundles with ease, it just requires more tape length obviously.I will continue to get this brand of gaffer tape whenever possible. I do use other kinds on various jabs as I don't always have my own to work with, but in those cases I wish I had this tape instead as I worry about the residue other brands will leave especially on the actual cables.
