Great tool overall.
Easy to use, includes lots of keystone jacks, and great value (especially comparing to some other, very expensive keystone kits). This is much easier to use than pass-through jacks and crimps very quickly. None of my crimps have any signal issues - and I have a couple of my cables doing 2.5 gigabit.

This tool and Everest's easyJACKs are a major time saver.
I needed to convert 7 CAT5E drops in my new home, which were originally setup as RJ11 phone jacks, to CAT5E RJ45. If I had to do this with traditional punch down tools it would have take much longer. 7 drops, 8 wires and 2 jacks for each drop equates to 112 wires I would have had to punch down, individually on all the jacks, to complete the project. This tool and the provided easyJACKs (which you have to use with the tool) punches down all 8 wires on the jack at once and cuts the ends off. It worked perfectly and I couldn't have been happier with the results. I don't typically review products, but this one was a game changer for my project. I wish they had tools and jacks like this when I used to punch down dozens of these, routinely, as part of my work 20 years ago.

So easy to use, it's almost unfair.
I've keystoned a fair amount of cabling over the years, somewhere over 2,000 terminations. I bought this crimp tool, along with EMS's RJ45 jacks in bulk, for my own remodel. Wish I'd found these years ago. There's a very mild learning curve and it's important to get the tension set properly. Once you're there, this is an amazing tool.No more pucks to deal with to keep dents off drywall. No more bang-bang-bang impact tool to mash a hole in your finger when your hands get tired or sweaty and a keystone rolls out from under the impact tool. None of that. A couple of hours to terminate 30 cables at both ends (I don't claim to be fast), everything was muscle memory by the 4th or 5th keystone. Push wire into one side of the keystone, turn the cable into its valley, push 4 more in, check, set the keystone in the crimper, one squeeze and you're done; the tool seats and cleaves in one go. Perfect terminations, 60 for 60, all confirmed by my Fluke CIQ. Happy times, next task. The system isn't cheap. It's also not cheaply made. The crimper has good hand feel and its padded case has real rather than living hinges and closures. Can't speak to its long term durability or how long its blades stay viably sharp after one small project, but I'm relegating my Fluke crimper, impact tool and puck (if I can find it) to a dusty, disused corner of the tool cabinet. VERY well done, EMS!

Great design.
As a starter kit this is really easy to use. The tool itself is good quality and fits my hand easily. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the case that it came in was cracked, but it still functions. The fittings that come with the kit worked well.

How on earth had I not found these before
I've spent nearly 30 years working IT consulting; and as I get older, one of the tasks I dread is wiring jobs; the tedious nature of them (and unfortunately they sometimes hand shakiness I can get from medication) can make things more difficult than it was when I was in my 20s wait that was when everything was Coax and tokenring.. anyway, when I was younger. After working a job recently where we did an entire warehouse, I got frustrated and said: you know, someone has to have come up with a better solution on this to save time. Sure enough, I was recommended a pair of these from a friend; trying it the first time: 20 punches, all perfect, all immediate, and taking probably 1/2 the time as before. The time savings was huge and the fact that I didn't have to go back to any and repunch was perfect. In comparison to the old hand punch tools, I would NEVER go back. Never. Absolutely a must have.Only negative is they are right, you really have to use their keystones; but small price to pay.

Great tool
High quality. Easy to use. The included instruction sheet could be clearer, but it’s easy to search online.

Crimps but not very precise or reliable.
The unit has quite a tolerance for the cutting blade and where the pairs are cut off at the connector sides. The cutter does not exactly align and shaves off some of the side of the included keystone jack when crimping. Some of the pairs did not seat on the first attempt and had to be reseated with a punch down tool. Quality is lacking.

SO MUCH EASIER
This is 10 x faster and easier than using a punch-down tool. I wish I had this 28 years ago.
