We recently moved into a new home, and I staked out the unfinished bed/mechanical/storage room in the basement as my home gym space. I wanted to put some exercise flooring over the smooth, hard concrete to relieve pressure on my feet and joints during workouts and also feel more reassured when lowering weights and equipment. With interlocking pads, I was afraid of them shifting along the concrete, and I didn't want to put in the effort of adhering them. So I was hoping that a single mat this size would fit the bill as something durable, heavy, and thick enough to fit the bill. And I'm thrilled that it pretty much does!It arrived in a box that looked like it passed through a warzone, so I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the product itself inside was still in perfectly brand new condition. It arrives nicely rolled up with three velcro straps, in a plastic liner, all slid into the very nifty carrying case! I don't think I will ever be rolling this up and relocating it, but it's nice to know I can -- especially because despite being very large, it is not terribly heavy.It is not super thick and cushy -- I will still still use a yoga mat on top of it for any exercises on the floor. But it is a zillion times better than bare floor, appears to be very durable, lays flat very well after unrolling, and so far seems heavy enough to hold its position on the floor as I move around it without me needing to apply double-sided tape or something similar. Very very pleased with this mat, especially at this size and price.

Size was right and it was shipped well. Mat itself is great for the gym.Perfect amount of softness vs hardness. You can do HIIT workouts in socks but broad jumps without shoes hurt. ABs and planks are rough without a soft yoga mat. Don’t want it a gym floor too soft then heavy squats or the bench will become unstable.TLDR: soft enough for comfort and hard enough for stability.

Just what we needed for our home gym. Holds up well to active workouts wearing shoes. Good impact absorption when you set weights down a little too hard. Comfortable enough to do yoga. Good traction barefoot. We tried the Yogarilla mat first. Those are JUNK. It’s catching drips under the lawnmower now. This one is da bomb. One note… it was a little slippy out of the box. Quick wipe down with diluted vinegar and a microfiber shop rag fixed that in 5 minutes. Dope.

I do like the mat. No smelly plastic oder. Good cushioning on a carpet - not sure how it would be on harder surfaces. Does slip around on my carpet a bit. Still trying to figure out a quick fix on that. And can get slippery when it gets wet. But over all I am very glad I purchased the mat. Just a couple work arounds.

I ordered this mat to put down on carpet and under my bike trainer setup. I got a larger mat so I would have extra workout space next to the bike. I’m happy with the thickness and quality of the mat. It didn’t have a strong smell upon packaging and I appreciate how the manufacturer paid attention to the materials. I walk (sparingly) on it with bike cleats and haven’t noticed any punctures. I recommend for anyone looking for a similar solution.

I got two of them, and they are going strong six months in. No slack, they don't leave equipment marks/impressions behind. They are comfortable and very stable. They look good and don't get dirty easily. They are not slippery. I highly recommend them.

After we bought a house, I've been looking a durable high-quality large exercise mat that meets all my endless criteria! :-) Building Home Gym has been quite a project for me! Even before we bought a house, I've been fitness junkie love all kind of HIIT workout, Jillian Michael, Beach body workout, etc, and all kind strength training with weights. My ongoing problem usually is finding a perfect mat.I am VERY PICKY and I need THE ONE AND ONLY mat that works for everything because I don't want to buy too many mat for a different purpose!I also have a back problem, which means I need very thick yet no too soft mat to do my core/abs workout. Majority problem with other mats was either not thick enough, or if it's thick, it's not durable and easy to tear apart and too soft instead of the firm! But I can't do too firm as it will also giving backpain.Then during COVID, I also purchased Power squat rack cage, now it's even more important to find a large premium mat for multiuse as equipment mat and workout mat, yet not breaking the bank.So after hours of research to find large workout premium mat, I went with MRO, and WOW and WOW!!!Finally, I found the perfect Mat that works for EVERYTHING!! Weight lifting, deadlift, squat, equipment, TRX (I use KO8 which has more functionality), all BeachBody HIIT workout, mobility exercise, stretching and much more. Definitely VERY highly recommended, this is actually the THICKEST (at 7mm), durable, very firm yet so comfy doing my core or plank workout. PLUS this is the highest quality large exercise MAT with reasonable price! LOVE IT!

This mat is fantastic feeling on the feet. Got through my first work out today and it feels great. The cut on one end is uneven but I'm not too concerned. It's a big mat, plenty of room to move from side to side if you have a heavy bag or just shadow boxing. Also big enough to have a partner and hit some mitts/thai pads. I did yoga but I needed to use my yoga mat on top of this mat as it's a bit hard. Came quickly and you can tell it's good quality.
