Nice design but some minor design flaws
Overall, I like this tofu press a lot. I actually like it a lot more now that I have made some modifications to it.Why the needed modifications? Well, if you put in a standard brick of tofu into it and press it, a lot of liquid does not drain but builds up and stays up in the tofu basket. The reason is that the drain holes get covered by the tofu and then liquid that comes out the sides gets trapped and does not let the tofu drain as needed. What I did was to drill some small (1.5mm) holes along the side/bend of the tofu basket to augment the holes at the bottom. I put in 3 along the long sides and 2 along the short sides. This has now allowed the liquid to drain better and not end up having an inch of liquid stuck on the sides of the tofu basket.I also think this could be solved with some drain channels in the lower section of the basket. I my try something like that as the bottom side of the tofu after pressing is still very wet when you take it out due to liquid getting trapped at the bottom due to the very smooth surface of the basket not allowing the liquid to move to the drain holes on the bottom as well as it could.Otherwise, I like the design and the ease of cleanup. It does not take too much room so you can even press your tofu in the fridge if you need to start in the morning before work and have it ready to cook with when you get home.Update: See photo of one of the sides showing 3 of the holes I added. Did the same to the other side too and the short sides (but only 2 holes on the short sides)Update 2: The company that makes this product has reached out to me to discuss the issue (and the fix I did to the product). The fact that they reached out is really amazing and is worth +1 stars on the review (now at 4 stars). I actually think the product is a 5 star product once I made the modifications to it - I just do not think I should have to make such modifications to a product just to make it function properly.

WORKS GREAT!!!
I bought the Size: A1: Large- Fit for 8-12 oz Tofu. Even though it says it fits 8-12 oz Tofu, Whole Foods 365 Brand 14 oz Tofu fits perfectly in here! It really works well and is easy to clean. No more waisting paper towels. Just place your tofu block in the press and place it in the refrigerator. It's ready when you are. I've even left it overnight. I highly recommend!

decent tofu press
This works pretty good. I wish you could press it a bit tighter though.

Not much compression BUT very good customer service!
I just got this tofu press and initially liked what I saw. It is well made but, unfortunately, the spring that comes with it is very easily compressed. See photo of me compressing it with my hand.As seems to be the standard way of doing this, I left the tofu cake (extra firm tofu) in the tofu press for 30 minutes and some water did come out but the tofu did not compress very much at all. In fact, I left it in the press for two days and, while I did get a little more water out the tofu cake didn’t really change much at all. I used extra firm tofu so maybe that it why the press did not do that much. Maybe with softer tofu it would work better.UPDATE: I was contacted by customer support asking me to try a couple of things, which I did but to no avail. They then offered me a refund which I agreed to. I consider this very good customer service and should be acknowledged as such. If a need arrises and one of their products would fill the bill, I would be inclined to try another of their products in the future.

Fantastic product
I am really liking this tofu press. I had never heard of a tofu press until a friend mentioned it. It works really well, so easy to use, and does what it says it’s supposed to do. It comes with a recipe booklet. I am currently doing baked barbecue tofu. I am going to order a second one for my son who cooks tofu frequently.

Amazing.
Works amazingly well. Make sure you separate the inner plastic tub—sometimes they arrive stuck together, but it just takes a little effort and they will come apart! Customer service is great too!

Works great!
I use this with extra firm tofu and had no problem pushing the top down. You just have to clip one side at at time. I actually forgot about it overnight by accident and it still kept my tofu fresh! Just make sure to get the large one if you use the typical 14-16 oz containers from the store or you'll have to cut the tofu in half for it to fit.

Pass on this one
I really really wanted a tofu press for christmas. I wanted the other one that was two plates and 4 stainless steel screws and nuts on the top to crank down the top to increase the pressure but amazon wasn't selling that one anymore. Hubby bought me this one. So here's the thing. It certainly looks like its doing something... but there needs to be more holes in the bottom to drain the tofu. I left a block of extra firm tofu in there for an hour. I took it out and it was wet on the outside and didn't seem like more than a teaspoon of liquid came out of it. I pressed extra firm tofu that i had wrapped in a tea towel between two cutting boards and put my cast iron pot on it for a half hour. Worked way better than this thing. Maybe it would work better for medium firm or soft tofu? I wanted to press it to marinate it and then roast it. I think i'll stick to my cutting boards and pot instead of using this thing. Save your money and buy a heavy cast iron pot instead.

does the job
this press works very well in extracting liquid from tofu. The only thing i do not like is I couldnt fit a whole block of tofu in there. I had to only put half in. But i can live with that. otherwise good product
