plays as good as it looks!
the fit and finish is outstanding. great access to the higher frets. the neck is very thin but it plays amazing. this guitar produces monster tones with ease.

First Syn guitar to dissapoint me
For reference I already own FOUR syn custom s guitars (2 gold satin bursts, a dark earth burst and a black and gold pin stripe edition).I was hoping this would live up to the quality of the other 4 but it doesn't quite do it.For starters the frets were not smooth like the others, I had to polish them down to remove all the resistance I was getting when bending the strings. I have not had this problem with the other 4 guitars. The cable port did not let the cable go in very easily, lots of resistance to push it in the last quarter inch or so. Upon removing the port and inspecting it it was all bent up out of shape and quite dirty. The interior wire box also had very sloppy soldering jobs done and I'm probably going to resolder many of the connections since they look flimsy at best.Speaking of wiring the bridge pickup is letting off an awful squeal anytime the volume is over half way up and I am not playing. I don't have this problem on the other guitars OR when I move the selector switch to the neck pickup, so it seems there is faulty wiring or a faulty pickup there.Lastly, the bridge pickup wasn't even screwed in properly. The screws to adjust the height were sticking way out and the pickup wouldn't move. I had to remove the pickup and replace it and screw the screws into the metal brackets so that it would actually move up and down like it's supposed to.All in all quite dissapointed with all the issues I've had with this guitar that were completely avoidable. Seemed like it was just a sloppy job done by somebody who was ready to go home at the end of their shift and didn't give af anymore.Other than that the guitar plays great but I'm very dissapointed with these issues I'm having to trouble shoot.
