A useful, compact spiritual tool
Having been introduced to some prayers from the full edition by a friend, I finally decided to buy my own copy. The Pocket Edition is a condensed version, with prayers and scripture readings set up for a one-year cycle. It has many of the same things as the full version, with a number of omissions. This is the version to have when traveling or when the larger book is too cumbersome. After using this version for a while, I did buy the full version which has become an important part of my devotional life.

A Wonderful Companion on the Faith Journey
This book is more than I expected, and I find myself using it almost daily for devotions and reference. I love the language and the references. The Scripture guide for the daily readings is good, and I am reading passages that don't normally appear in the lectionary. The selection listing information on the "ordinary radicals" is very enlightening. The pocket size is convenient to take along with me everywhere. I recommend it to all my prayer friends.

Pocket edition
i gave this pocket edition 4 stars instead of 5 because the music of the hardcover edition is missing. Otherwise would have been 5 as this is an amazing collection of prayers and meditations.

Progressive Christianity in a Prayer Book
I liked the larger hard-bound edition better (which I gave away), but this keeps the tradition of a Prayer Book for daily devotions or Bible study. It is based more for a liberal Christian than a conservative, which is what makes it radical. It keeps the traditional liturgist-based clergy or congregant within those borders, but adds a liberal, progressive Christianity theme. If you are a progressive Christian or emergent-based church goer, this is the book for you.

Accidentally got wrong version, but serves me in important ways nonetheless
Accidentally bought the pocket edition (have the full version on Kindle but felt like if I was going to engage the tradition, it'd be nice to have a book in my hand). There's "some assembly required" day to day, flipping back and forth to get the daily scriptures and the songs. But a good version for people on the go (plan to take it when I travel soon). Grateful to Clairborne, Wilson-Hartgrove, and Okoro for having done the work of drawing out the radical social justice elements of the tradition. For someone from an evangelical non-SJ oriented background, this has been a helpful guide into something old/new :-).

Just perfect.
If you're looking for a concise but well-developed book to help build your daily prayer rhythm, this is the one. There are a variety of prayers that inspire and provoke meditation, a list of historical dates and important spiritually-oriented people, and the time-tested and beautiful prayers and meditations based on the "Hours" observed in various Christian monasteries/convents. I especially enjoy praying the Compline which is a collection of meditative and quieting prayers and Bible passages for the end of the day.
