This light would be great for a power outage, if you point it at the ceiling it lights up the whole room. I stood on my back porch and shined it towards the back yard and it lit up the whole yard. This is well worth the money. The Dewalt 20v battery is easy to install but a little hard to remove but it is not a problem. The USB charger works good. I still need to test it to see how long will last with the light on. I highly recommend this light.

The low voltage cutout works as it should to protect the battery from over discharging. I put in a Dewalt battery and left the light on to discharge it. When it shut off I tested the battery and it was about 15.7 volts. That's right about where Dewalt tools cut off. I removed the battery, put it back in (still drained) and the light ran for about 1 minute and shut off again. Enough to find your way out of the dark or grab another battery but still safe for the battery. The charging ports also cut off with the rest of the light.This light is very bright with a good spread of light. It'll light up the tops or tall trees but still give a wide "flood" type of spread that would be good to work by. Point it at the ceiling and it'll light up all the corners of a large room.This light is a great addition to my collection of Dewalt tools and batteries. It's nice to have a cheaper alternative to the expensive Dewalt 20v lights that do the same thing. I also like that this is small and lightweight. I haul my tools to jobsites so size and weight are important. This folds over into a small size I can easily fint into my tightly packed toolboxes.I haven't tested battery life but it seems reasonable so far. It's not that important to me since I have a lot of batteries in all capacities. I bought this to squeeze a little time out of the day as it's getting dark or push to finish a job rather than coming back for an hour the next day. I don't plan on running it for countless hours on one battery.It would be nice if there was more difference between the high and low. There is a difference but it's close. A lower low would be nice for small areas or to extend the battery life but it's not a deal breaker.The light gets pretty hot when running for a while. Not burning hot but hotter than other LED lights I've used. It's hot enough to make a nice handwarmer on a cold day. Not the most efficient light but not dangerous. A lot of energy going to heat. You're not going to get the best power management at this pricepoint. The battery stays cool though.Overall it's great for what it is and what it costs. If you're planning on regularly using it all day for work it may be better to get the more efficient Dewalt work light. If you just need it occasionally this is more than enough.

Definitely compatible with DeWalt batteries but runs through than very quickly and makes me wonder if it could cause a battery overheat which then induces shorter future battery life at the least.The switch is a bit small for my taste and while it has two positions for the on, left and right with the middle being off, I didn’t notice and change in the illumination for either on position.It does stand well on any flat surface and is inherently stable and positions well but leaves little in the way of positioning outside of the flat surfaces unless you care to have it hanging from a hook.

After seeing my brother's 20v worklight in use while working in the woods, I decided I needed one.... So I purchased this because it's compatible with my existing Dewalt 20v batteries and I wouldn't have to invest in another set of batteries. I was pleasantly surprised as this was both a bargain and a quality product- super bright!!!One of the standout features of this work light is its impressive brightness. The 20V Max LED provides a powerful and even illumination that's suitable for a wide range of tasks. Whether you're working in a dimly lit workspace or need to light up a specific area, this light does the job admirably. It's great for DIY projects, automotive work, camping, and emergency situations. I had it both inside my jetski as a worklight, and also used it out in the woods while tapping trees for syrup, then additionally in the Adirondacks in our tents while camping. It offered impressive brightness and I never even had to change the battery. The only thing I might want to upgrade is on the water resistance- feels robust and well-constructed but I don't know how it would fare getting wet. It's designed to withstand rough handling and is resistant to minor bumps and drops but, like many work lights, it could benefit from improved water resistance for added durability in outdoor settings. But overall I have been very impressed and glad that I added this to my tool arsenal. Its cordless design, brightness, and adjustability make it a valuable addition to any workspace or outdoor adventure. While there is room for improvement in terms of water resistance and battery life, it's a solid choice for those in need of a portable and powerful work light.

Very bright and works for my dewalt battery. Super stoked for the dark nights in the oilfield.

Update : Not even 24hrs later and the seller has reached out and is making it right! It’s a super bright light with a good battery life. Works with Dewalt battery perfectly. The head is adjustable and stays in place at any angle.First review: It was a great light for 1 use and then the lower setting just stopped working. Gave it a full charge and still won’t work on the lower setting. Have tried to request a replacement but all that’s offered through Amazon is a refund. I really want this light so hoping the SELLER see’s this and we can work out a replacement. When I purchased the total price with taxes was just over $21, the price is higher now. Hence the replacement versus the refund and re-purchase. Once replaced and it's working I will update the 1 star rating.I have updated to 5 stars for the amazing customer service and great product. Definitely worth the purchase. And if anything is not right the company will respond quickly and resolve the problem

SO BRIGHT!! perfect for the time change and long winter evenings outside. Highly recommend.The only downfall is that the cover on the back of the light is plastic and it does get warm after a few hours of being on. I would recommend using a DeWalt battery to ensure the length and time of the brightness on the light. No name batteries do not last as long.

I use this light all the time as a work lamp now. The batteries last a few hours with the light on constantly (batteries not included).One caution is to unplug when not using as the USB DC-DC converter uses a constant trickle of energy and will kill the battery in a day or two even when not using. I don't really consider this a design flaw, it is just the nature of the USB power outlet.
