Just what I wanted.

Thes files are huge compared to your run-of-the-mill disposable nail files. They also have a pretty thick layer of foam between the two surfaces. The result is that this file will not work if you keep your nails very short—it's simply too bulky to fit between the nail and the flesh of the finger. As a guitarist, I need to keep my left-hand nails extremely short in order to press firmly on the strings. So these files won't work for me. They *are* great for filing down foot callouses! And I think if you keep your nails long, they would work for preliminary shaping. But because the grit is quite coarse, you'll need a finer grit to finish and polish your nails.
