PelikanTwist Fountain Pen with 1 Ink Cartridge, Medium Nib, Girly Rose, Boxed (806251)

There was blue ink all over the box when I opened it. The cartridge was almost empty and blue ink was inside the pen that I got all over myself. Why is the pen loaded before shipment? You should pack the un-opened, un-punctured cartridge alongside the pen and let the consumer load the cartridge for himself or herself. After I got the pen cleaned up and reinstalled the cartridge I found that the pen is very nice and writes smoothly. I ordered more cartridges from Amazon but I did not know whether to order GTP5 or GTP6 so I ordered both. I hope that at least one of these types work. I do not like that the pen cover does not post onto the back of the pen. I have to hold the cover while writing or lay it down and hope I don’t lose it. All in all, I like the pen but would hope that Pelikan can make some improvements.

Cheap and accessible for students, which is the purpose of this line.At first I thought this might be right-handed only, but after gripping it in my left hand it should still be totally usable for lefties too without issue. But I'm right-handed, so I can't totally confirm that.Love the colors and the way it plays with the light.Wish it came with the cartridge converter by default, but that would add to the price tag.

This pen has a nice design, writes well and is easy to hold. The only problem I have with it is the fact that the nib is described as F but in reality there is no difference between it and nib M. I had previously purchased the same type pen nib M, so I can compare the two.I will not return the pen, but am disappointed that the nib is not really F as described by the seller.Otherwise I would have given it five stars.

I found it to be on par with other 'beginner' pens like the Pilot Kakuno or the Kaweco Perkeo. Good ergonomics.

It works as a writing instrument but it is awkward to hold. The top does not fit well when you put it on the bottom part to write. It also has no clip so you can't just put it in a shirt pocket. The writing is smooth enough.

The pen is so nice that I gave 4 friends one for Christmas!

This was a disappointment because I like the pen, but I just can't write with it comfortably. It looks cool, the nib is smooth and flows well, and it's great value for the money. But my grip angle just doesn't work for me. The triangular shape means when I hold it the nib is twisted to the point that it doesn't write well. The only way I can use it is by holding it on the tips of the triangle, which works but is not feasible for any length of time.

While a different experience, I cannot recommend this pen. The connection, fit, and threads between the body and the grip and nib section feel like they do not go together as you take them apart or twist them together. It feels almost as if you are working cheap plastic toy. The grip is not comfortable and the signature twist makes holding the pen feel odd. The nib is nothing special. I have a number of Pilot pens that cost less than this pen that out write it. I would only recommend this pen if you can try it before you buy it. If not, there are many other pens at this price point or less that are much better writers and are more comfortable to use.

That weird twisted triangular shape ix actually quite novel - it resists rolling and is surprisingly comfortable to hold.Fitted with a genuine European medium nib that writes well from the first inking. I tried to use the back of the nib for a finer result - and as a nib it works well, but the triangular shape of the pen makes use in this way impractical.I love the shape overall as a pen I can leave laying around on the desk with no fear that it will roll off (much more effective than hexagonal pens I've tried before), and if it gets nicked, at less than £!0 it wouldn't particularly worry me.

As a wedding registrar, I need my pen to be good value, comfortable, reliable, have a good ink flow and write nicely. This is a left/right handed pen - as a lefty, the grip is important for me. I'm not blown away by the one on this pen as the triangular design continues into the barrel and isn't that comfortable.When removing the lid, it may sound silly, but it's not easily identifiable which is the lid (when you're not paying attention and maybe reading something else) - there are no clips on the lid like most other pens.The ink flows brilliantly and I've had no problems with the converter. The nib is medium with a flat tip. I've found this less useful when writing smaller - I always opt for medium but find this one just doesn't look as neat.The colour and design of the pen are unique and the price was a definite bonus.On the whole, not my favourite new pen. Does what I need it to but could be more comfortable. Reliability and price are two definitely plus points and this will continue to have a home in my pencil case.

Large, light, apparently odd-shaped barrel that gets some attention until people hold it. They are then surprised how comfy it feels in the hand.The nib is smooth and the line wet, maybe a bit wide for a European medium nib?, but that's just my opinion.The pen is light enough to use without stress for a reasonable length of time.Having said that, it's not yet become my daily carry. Maybe if it came in a finer nib I'd think differently, but if you are happy with Medium nibbed fountain pens and want one that is large, light with a good grib the Twist will be hard to beat.

I have to use fountain pens for my work and I have to say that including this in my tool kit is just an amazing find. Yes the shape is really weird in your hand the first couple of times but once you use it more and more you realise how brilliant the design is. Ink flow has not faulted and I use this every day. Would highly recommend to anyone.
