I decided to try these, as every holiday season I purchase 3 strands of name-brand LED icicle lights at around $25/strand for my 32' porch. Every year they are lit around Thanksgiving and are turned off around New Year's, and every year I have at least one section out by New Year's. These are much less expensive than the name-brand. They don't have white strands like the name-brand (more of a transparent rubber), but you don't really notice. They take a little more to untangle than traditional icicles and aren't as bright white (a little warmer), but they look nice and are more pliable. One strand covers about 32 feet and has a very long lead. The lead reaches from the gutter to the rear wall of the 6' porch, running the eve and down the wall. You have to keep the plug (also the controller) out of the weather. It has a lot of different functions, which is nice. It's been a month of use and so far, I haven't lost any lights. It went through a nasty windstorm, too.

I usually don’t like LED lights because they are so harsh. But these “warm, soft” LED lights are as advertised, creating the soft glow I wanted. I also absolutely love the clear wire. It hides well, hangs nicely and didn’t tangle while hanging, unlike traditional white wire icicle lights. I keep icicle lights on all year long for decorating my venue, so, fingers crossed, these will not burn out as fast as incandescents do. If they don’t, I will absolutely be buying these again for my decorating needs.

Most LED lights are ugly. These look like incandescent and work great. Came in a box so small I thought it was impossible. These will take no space to store and never break.

These look great and are extremely light weight compared to the old irredecent lights. My only gripe (and perhaps it's not fair as I read it in other reviews after I bought them) is that they default to cycling through all 8 settings when turned on. So if you're using a timer, expect a disco party on your house until you go out and hit the button 7 times to keep them solidly on. They lasted me a season no problem. The real test will be when I get them out again next year...

I love these lights!!! 49.2' covered the entire front of our house. I love the warm color, as opposed to the glaring white lights that failed on us last year. I love the size and visual effect of the actual lights; they look more enchanting. I love the the translucent wiring, as opposed to the thicker white cording of other lights sets, because during the day, you hardly even notice them. I thought the thick white-corded "icicles" we had before looked rather tacky during the day! AND I loved the price--so reasonable! Over 30 years of outdoor Christmas lights and these are our hands-down favorite!

These are not super tiny, they are super bright, they look really really good, the price was perfect, it comes with a bunch of features in the remote. Now yes you have to have the remote pretty close to the plug but I don't care about that at all. These are really great they're so so bright I'm just super happy with them couldn't be happier! if you don't have an issue with having to use the remote close to the plug, don't hesitate

Lights string well with good drape, clear bright light, aren’t terribly tangly and are easy to manage and have good longevity. I use them year round in a display that stays lit 24/7 so I can attest that they last. I only need to replace about every 4-5 months using them this way. Price is about right.

In all ways **but one** exactly what I wanted. The huge problem is that every time the power to the light strip is turned off by the timer, the light strip mode control resets to the initial default mode (which is to cycle through all 8 modes in a rather frenetic manner). What this means is that at each evening when the lights are powered up to turn on, if I want all 5 strips that I bought to be in steady mode (constantly on, option 8), I need to reset the controller for each of the 5 strips. See the "Questions" section of this product; I'm not the only one to notice this epic product flaw. I went from feeling great about the purchase to seriously considering throwing them all away and starting from scratch.
