Great action camera
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Recently I was shopping for an action camera that wouldn't break the bank and decided to give this one a shot. I wasn’t expecting the same level of quality as the name brand camera (that goes for 6-8 times the price) but I was pleasantly surprised by the versatility and quality of this camera. The camera (and the accessories) come packaged in a semi-rigid splash proof case. The case is secured with zippers that are sealed to keep out moisture (you probably wouldn’t want to submerge it but it would likely keep your camera dry during a rainstorm or kayak trip).Unzipping the case reveals the camera and a plethora of accessories. Included are 10+ different mounts, a retractable mono pole, two batteries, waterproof camera housing, velcro straps, zip ties, adhesive strips cleaning cloth and more. The set has everything needed to mount the camera to a helmet, bicycle handlebars, snowboard, surfboard, etc. The camera itself has a matte plastic front and feels solidly constructed. The sides of the camera are textured, providing an easy surface to grip. The set does not include a battery charger, which would be really nice to have so that you can charge the spare battery while shooting video with the other one. Absent the charger you can use a standard micro usb cable (or the included one) to charge the battery while it is in the camera. A remote would also be nice but considering this camera and all of the accessories came in around $40 I really can’t complain. Instead of a remote you can connect to a smart phone via WiFi to control the camera. To get shooting you need a MicroSD card (80MB/s or better is recommended). I purchased this one and it works well with the camera: Samsung 32GB 95MB/s (U1) MicroSD EVO Select Memory Card with Adapter (MB-ME32GA/AM) Navigation between camera modes (videos, photos, slow motion, settings) is fairly intuitive.I put the camera to the test on a bike ride around the neighborhood using the monopod the capture video in the 4k 30fps setting. You can see the results for yourself in the video at the bottom of this review. In video mode the camera does a good job reproducing colors and captures fine details. There is no visible stutter even at the highest video setting. There is a bit of lens flare but this can be expected when shooting video in bright sunlight. To summarize, this is a solid action camera and a great value considering what you get in terms of accessories and functionality.

Really have enjoyed playing with the camera the past couple of days
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Really have enjoyed playing with the camera the past couple of days. It takes good videos and photos as long as you are doing it in good light. Love all the options for video as well as time lapse photos. My only issue is that it does cause some video aliasing which results in areas of the video that look a little fuzzy (see attached video with trees). But it can be worked around and overall for the money you can't beat this camera. They include several useful accessories and I love the many video resolution options. If I could I would give it 4 1/2 stars. Check out the video and one photo I am posting--the only editing I did was on the video to shorten it up.

BEST VALUE FOR THE PRICE, BUT DEFINITELY NOT 170 DEGREES WIDE ANGLE
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This is an awesome value for the price and there are really great features and not bad quality. What I like:- Good video quality with 1080P 60 FPS and EIS (other formats are not so good).- Electronic image stabilization really working- Easy working waterproof housing with no leaks- Has most functions of expensive action cameras (e.g. time-lapse, video-lapse, car-mode and lots more)- lots of equipment. Covers almost everything from helmet to bike mount or tripod.- Buttons working very good- Super easy menu (didn't need manual at all)- Easy Wifi and app is on official App Store (and not on 3rd party site)- Bright screen which works also in sunlight- works with standard formatted micro sd card out of the box- built-in mic has AWESOME quality (of course not when in the waterproof housing)- even has an external microphone plug (mic not included)What I don't like so much:- selection frame (yellow) very hard to see outside, so it's really hard to change settings outsideWhat I hate:- It's definitely not a promised 170 degrees wide angle, but only about 50-60 degrees angle (check my video). Sorry, don't like to be cheated and hence was only able to give 3 stars. With accurate description I had given 5 stars easily.

Decent little camera that would get 5 stars with a couple more features
I've been using this camera both to entertain the kids in the pool and as a bike helmet mounted camera. Overall, it's a good buy. But with a couple of improvements, I'd give it 5 stars. Note: These are small issues that I can live with. They just keep the product from getting that 5th star. The battery door is pretty difficult to open if you have adult male hands. It's like the battery covers on the old tv remotes, but smaller. There's no software setting to automatically begin recording when you power on the camera. When it's on a bike helmet, it would be nice to just turn it on and go.The timestamp is completely useless. If you set the date and time, it forgets it the next time it is powered off. So unless you want to go through the menu every single time you turn on the device, there's no point in having it timestamp your video. It will always be wrong. A related problem is that it saves your videos by naming them according to the date and time. Since it's always wrong, good luck sorting out your videos.Aside from those issues, it's a good little camera that just missed being a great little camera.
