I ordered this brand and must have overlooked the "Sodium Nitrites" on the label .. it's the very last ingredient which is why I think I overlooked .. I only returned the product because one of my dearest Uncles died of a Stroke and the Neurologist stated with strong conviction, that based on his decades of research and the data he was presented with, the Stroke came about as a result of ingesting Sodium Nitrites .. now whether it was that one occurrence tha caused the Stroke or , or if it was the result of perhaps, many times eating the stufff over a prolonged period of time, the Doctor couldn't be that pinpoint specific .. but ever since that day, to my recollection, have I purchased any products containing Sodium Nitrites, NItrates and/or BHT .. So any new customers of Cattleman's Cut Beef Jerky, may feel that this review does not apply to them and it may not apply to them .. it's just my experience and I do not wish to bash or complain about the quality of this product .. I'm just saying that had I read the ingredients closer, my personal experiences in life would have prompted me to just go with another product :-) Final: Good Quality ~ Nice Soft Texture ~ Very Tasty ~ Generous Portion ~ Excellent Value I wish the company continued success :-)

We love this beef jerky. I have ordered it many times and always make sure we have it on hand to take with us on our traveling trips. It's a great way to get some quick protein to fill us up instead of stopping for fast food. We like the teriyaki cut, as it seems to be softer and easier to chew. It's not the cheapest brand, but well worth the price.

Has a pretty good flavor and texture

This is REALLY high quality beef jerky. Prime cuts, full of flavor, not greasy nor over salty. This makes jack links and all other name brands seem like dog food. It’s moist but not wet. Cant go wrong with the 10oz bag at the current price compared to any other maker. I’ve probably bought 20-10oz bags at this point and I’m pretty picky about my beef jerky. Out of all of my bags only one was on the dry side but most likely due to very small hole in bag from shipping. Cattleman’s cut jerky is literally a cut above the rest. This is not a paid or endorsed review…although I wish I was. Grab yourself a bag and try to just have a couple pieces…I bet you cant, seriously, I’d put money on that.

I had no idea beef jerky could have mold. I have been buying and eating beef jerky since I was a kid. Never saw moldy jerky until I decided to branch out and buy done on Amazon. This was one of only teleological brands that were reasonably priced (rather than say $50 a bag, come on!) so it was a no brainer to buy this brand. My daughter tried the teriyaki and I tried the peppered. They arrived with no mold. We ate them over the course of a week. Guess what? No mold. We also tried each others flavor. She decided she would rather eat mine & I thought hers tasted good as did my flavor. But we both agreed we will go with the original flavor next. Peppered was too spicy for me. She didn’t love the teriyaki flavor. I think it is a different experience for each person because…tastebuds. 5 stars.

it is both tough and crumbly. it is sweet but no heat. not at all what i was looking for.

This beef jerky is so delicious - not overly smokey. Light taste of teriyaki is perfect. The pieces range from small 1/4 inch to about 1 x 3 inch. They are a beef brisket texture so they are easy to tear into smaller pieces if needed. If you wear dentures or partials - you can still eat these. As the pieces are chewed they soften up. I buy the 10-ounce resealable bags which keep the jerky fresh. A bit expensive but worth the price.
