What can be said except very high quality
This has to be the very best budget knife in the market currently. This is my 4th P.F. and it is nothing short of outstanding!I seriously doubt if one could find a better budget EDC with such quality, design and workmanship as this for the investment. Don't let the word "budget" bother you, it's way too good for that category.-Flawless workmanship and QC.-Sharp, evenly ground and centered.-Well tuned, snappy and smooth deploymentand drop.-Milled and nested liners-Perfect hand ergos.-unique lanyard connector design.-Very grippy and sculpted scales.-Double beveled swedge.-Very acceptable clip even though screws aremushroom type-Inlaid carbon fiber in textured G10 scales.-Good lockup, strong at about 20%.-Medium weight, very comfortable.-No billboarding except designers signaturetastefully on the clip.-Positive, non-aggressive jimping on bladeand back spacer.-No warm or hot spots. When you grasp this beauty you know you have an outstanding product. For this price you would be remiss if you pass on this. Even the packing and design is well thought out.I highly recommend and guarantee Petrified Fish will be the next rising EDC "budget" star if it isn't already. Five stars and two.thumbs up.

My ultimate EDC knife
I've bought a lot of knives over the last 20 - 30 years looking for the perfect EDC blade and I finally found it in the Petrified Fish.Pros:D2 steel, holds an edge, strong, yet easy to touch upG10 handle will go through hell and still look goodTip down configuration w included pocket clipQuick one handed deployment via slick ball bearing flipperEasy one handed unlock and fold back upPerfect blade length 3.5 inReally striking and beautiful design I'm proud to pull out and useReasonable price! The best thing about this knife and the reason it goes everywhere I go is the slick ball bearing pivot which makes it easy to deploy the blade, much easier than any other flipper knife I've tried. And I've tried a lot. Also, the lock does not require a herculean effort to push the metal tab in to unlock the blade. Finally, an EDC knife that is so easy to deploy and put away that I no longer hesitate to use it. And its a great price!I'm grabbing another one as backup before they become so popular that the price shoots up.

Quality at a low price
I don’t normally write reviews, but this knife has really impressed me. I recently lost an expensive Benchmade knife and was reluctant to pay $200 for a replacement, so I watched some YouTube videos and Petrified Fish got some good reviews. I bought this knife for just $29 and it is every bit as well-made as a Benchmade. It came decently sharp out of the box and was made even sharper with a few whacks on a ceramic stick. It is comfortable in the hand. The blade action is incredibly smooth and fast. The clip is firmly attached to the knife and is easy to get into and out of my pocket while firmly holding the knife in place. I could have bought six of these knives for what my lost Benchmade cost and had six knives of equal or superior quality!

Super Surprised!!!
Okay. I'm going to start this off by saying that I was quite hesitant to purchase this knife. I liked the looks of it, but was very unsure about it's build quality. I'm not going to lie, the manufacturer's name didn't exactly get me all excited, but that is probably from years and years of buying knives from the big name knife makers, which will get you in the poor house in short order. Anyway, after a whole lot of back and forth, and also advisement after watching a video review about this brand and style on YouTube from 704 Gear(704 Tactical), I took the plunge. Boy was I surprised! This knife was carefully and thoughtfully packaged, and shipped very quickly. As soon as it was delivered to my doorstep, I hurried out and gathered up my quarry like a hungry squirrel to a canister of nuts. This blade is incredible! It comes nice and sharp, although I touched it up to my liking. The blade swings out quite smoothly and locks with a very nice, satisfying "click." Trust me when I say, you'll be flipping this thing open and closing it without even thinking about it! The blade is made of D2 tool steel, so it should hold an edge quite well. It has good, but not aggressive jimping, and blade centering is on par with higher end knives. Overall, I have nothing to complain about. If you have been on the fence about buying one of these to add to your collection or edc rotation, take it from me. This is WELL WORTH the money and I doubt that you'll be disappointed.

Well worth it.
Compact, blade larger than expected (which is good), well made. Like the folded size and great clip. Lever lock works well and very smooth action from the opener. Great value for the money.

Review Update! Liked modern design. Knife tip broke off. Defective? Bad steel?
Like modern design. Sharp edge. 1st knife from PF. Had knife since March. Used lightly and expected to last long time. However, knife tip broke off today. Defective? D2 steel not strong? Disappointed. Return ended a few weeks ago. Any warranty Seller? Hopefully they’re reputable company.Review update 6/1/24:I was promptly contacted by Tina from Petrified Fish following my previous review. She quickly addressed my concerns about the knife and sent out a new one without delay. At my request, she provided a different model with a thicker blade. I like this model design (PF-838CS-Pub Satin, Carbon fiber G10) as well as the previous one. Very modern looking. Sharp. Good weight. Fits good in the hand. The handle feels a little edgy, especially with the belt clip. Overall, the knife appears to be off good quality and built.Again, I’m very pleased with Petrified Fish’s commitment to their products. I look forward to using my new knife and will definitely consider this company for future purchases, both for myself and as gifts. I wish them continued success. Thank you again!
