Everything showed up as it should have, no damage to the packaging and the product was in the condition you'd expect.Now, the deck itself is honestly better than I'd initially expected. I wanted to build a black/blue zombie deck in the past, but never had anybody to play with. Recently I've found some guys to play with and decided to pick this deck up to get back in to it (all my older cards are in storage), and when I opened it I realized there are some pretty decent cards in it, cards that are even fairly expensive if you buy singles. If you want to get in to commander format, and you've never played before, this deck is surely a good starting point. With a few cards I ordered from TCGPlayer, this will be a ridiculously powerful zombie token deck.

These decks are meant to be an introduction to the Commander format for new players and they serve their purpose well. With a variety of cards, mostly reprints from various editions of Magic: The Gathering, as well as fun Commanders that help teach the game but are also competitive when upgraded, these decks are a fun buy.But added to that, the combined value of JUST the cards in this deck that are worth over 1 USD is more than twice the cost of the deck! This is true for all of the Starter decks, to a greater or lesser degree. All of them are worth more than you pay for them if you consider the prices of the cards as of the time of this post. And that isn't counting the many cards that aren't worth a dollar but just add to your collection as a new player.I rate this product a great gift for new players, and a good buy for any Magic Commander player who wants a little value for their money and likes the look of the decklists (you can Google for a full list of the cards in each one)

Great way to start playing Commander, even more fun to play against other unmodified precons with. If you are using this deck as a base, just remember that the precons come with a lot of filler.

Most of the people in my game group also play Magic, Commander. I'm not big into CCGs, but always happy to try a new game system so I got this starter deck to just keep things rolling socially. I got this deck mainly on theme, necromancer siblings and a lot of zombies! As it turns out, it's pretty well tuned. Most of the time I hold my own and once managed to come out on top!Is this going to win you any tournaments? I doubt it, but it will get you into the game at a pretty acceptable price entry-point. I don't have any plans to expand my magic card collection and, after 4ish months of use, I don't feel any need to. So I can recommend as a good starting point for any Commander curious gamers out there.
