Best Wireless Security Cameras!!
I would like to take this moment to say this camera system is definitely worth the cost. This is based off of the quality of service, ease of operation, and variety of features! I was impressed at the price I got it, since it was on discount, because I wanted a system that still offered a base for local storage without having to pay for a subscription! After using it for some time now, the quality of the images and videos are amazing and have a variety of recording settings. The app and website are get features included with this setup and work great! Allows me to customize the setup however I please and without a problem connecting to the hub! There are so many great features I could mention but since I’m limited I’ll say that the last favorite feature is the alarm setup when there is motion or if someone is trying to move your cameras!

Love my Eufy cameras.
I have many Eufy solar cameras around my property. I also have wired wall cameras at a front door and back deck door. I also have a wired spotlight camera on my garage. These solar ones were easy to set up, the picture quality is great. So far the battery life has been great, exception to one, but buying and installing a wider solar panel through Eufy did the trick. Depending on your wifi signal, the connectivity works great as well.

Strongly recommend
Best camera kit ever! No wiring required — just mount the bracket on the wall and you’re done. The video quality is excellent, and I really like that it records only when events are detected. Customer service is outstanding. I had an issue with one of the cameras, and they quickly sent me a replacement without any hassle. Great job! Now I’m planning to add the doorbell and expand storage by installing a hard drive.

UPDATED WONT HONOR REPLACEMENT eufyCam S330: A Security Marvel That's Got Your Back, Literally
UPDATE: We had problems with one camera within 30 days. We reached out to product support and they said they would send us a replacement camera. 5 months later, STILL NO REPLACEMENT CAMERA. They even had us send the broken one back, which they received in July. All we get is the run around. We escalated it. Still nothing. It’s mid October now. They said they are having challenges shipping one camera yet they sell a whole set online. I can even buy one camera from their store directly without issues! This is ridiculous. For this hassle, get something else. Very frustrated. Ladies and gentlemen, let me regale you with the tale of the eufyCam S330, a true champion in the realm of home security! Picture this: a fortress of four cameras, each standing guard with the might of solar power or rechargeable lithium batteries – the choice is yours, dear comrades! Now, let me address the elephant in the room – the one camera that decided to nap instead of keeping watch. But fret not, for when the call for aid reached the ears of the valiant support team, they answered with unparalleled grace and swiftness! A broken soldier was sent back to its maker at their expense, and a shiny replacement marched forth to fill its place, free of charge! Bravo, eufy, bravo! But let us not dwell on the past, for the glory of the eufyCam 3 shines brighter than a thousand suns! With a storage capacity fit for kings – a whole terabyte, if you please – and AI technology so sharp, it can distinguish friend from foe with but a glance. No subscriptions, no hidden fees – just pure, unadulterated protection for your homestead! Ah, and the night vision! Like a silent guardian cloaked in shadows, the eufyCam S330 sees all, even when the world is shrouded in darkness. And as for motion detection alerts, well, Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither are the perfect settings for our vigilant sentinels. But fear not, fellow guardians, for with time and patience, we shall master this art! In conclusion, dear seekers of safety, if you seek a security system that's both formidable and friendly, look no further than the eufyCam S330. It's not just a product – it's a partner in protection, a stalwart companion in the battle against the forces of darkness. Raise your banners high and let the eufyCam S330 stand as a beacon of safety in these uncertain times!

8X Zoom is a little deceiving
I replaced my Arlo Pro (HD, 1080p) outdoor cameras with these Eufy S330 (4K) cameras. The Eufy cameras were compatible with my old Arlo wall mounts, so that made the mounting much easier. The Eufy cameras have a crisper image and can zoom in between 2x and 8x (see note at the end of this review). The facial recognition is a plus in that when I get a text notification, instead of saying a person has been detected it tells me the name of the person detected and I don't feel the need to quickly review the recording to see who it is. The AI assistant continues to learn as each recording is made. You're asked to confirm if the person is in fact the one Eufy thinks it is. You don't need to answer, but it helps the AI improve itself. The setup is pretty simple and it's best to charge the cameras before setting everything up. There is a USB to USB C cable included for charging the cameras. I had an additional USB to USB C cable to charge my MacBook Pro, so was able to charge two cameras at a time. The cameras come with about 70% charge already on them. Even so, it took about 2.5 hours to fully charge each one. Once the cameras were charged the setup was fairly simple. At a point in the setup the home base emits a tone that is heard by the camera and completes the camera connection to the home base. Be aware that the home base tone is made with the speaker located under the home base and the camera's microphone is located on the front of the camera, so during this part of the setup it helps to tilt the base back and place the camera mic near it, so it can clearly hear the tone. Once the camera is recognized by the home base you'll need to name the camera (Porch, Gate, Garage...) and you can set other camera features in the settings. The Eufy home base 3 comes with 16GB of storage that can be expanded to 16TB by installing a 2.5" internal hard drive into the home base. I went with the Seagate Barracuda (model #ST2000LMZ15) 2TB drive (more on that in the notes at the end of this review). The installation was simple and, using the Eufy Security app, the home base reformatted the drive and showed 2028 GB available. During the home base setup an ethernet connection is necessary from the home base to your router. Once the setup is complete, following the app instructions, you can have the home base connect to your WiFi, then remove the ethernet cable, unplug the home base and move it to a location more central to your cameras where you can plug it back in. I have had two instances where one of the cameras lost its connection to the home base. The first one seemed to reconnect on its own. The second one, mounted on my barn (12' high) had to be taken down and re-setup, but seems to be working fine once again. The furthest distance I have placed a camera from the home base is probably around 60' with one or two walls between them and the camera still shows full bars in the connection. One of the features I liked about my Arlo cameras, that my Eufys don't have, is that when they recorded an event they would start the recording a few seconds before the event occurred. The Eufys start immediately when or a few milliseconds after the motion is detected. When a car pulls into my driveway, by the time the camera starts recording, the license plate is out of view. NOTES: 1) The 8x zoom feature only works when viewing through the cameras live. Viewing recorded video will only allow 1.5x-2x zoom. If you have a recorded event where a crime was committed on your property this is when you MOST need to be able to identify a person and/or license plate. This needs to be addressed by Eufy Development Department. I found a workaround that seems to solve this issue. If you download the recorded event to your phone or laptop photos app you can use the zoom in that app to further magnify the image to 8x. 2) After installing my 2TB hard drive I came across information that the original 16GB storage is enough to store the recordings of 4 cameras, based on 500 seconds (8 minutes and 33 seconds) of recording per day, for 2-3 weeks. Based on the information, my 2TB drive will hold roughly 15 years of recordings before it is full. A bit of an overkill I think. So, if you need more than 2-3 weeks of recordings maybe look at a 100GB-200GB drive.

Awesome.. reliable and fast.. highly recommend
GOOD STUFF!!! So far I have had an awesome experience with this new system. Eufy customer service is the best I have ever experienced. They answer quickly and provide real support and stand behind their product. I can't stress enough how the support and responsiveness has exceeded my expectations. Some things to note.. if you have a larger home 4000+ sf and have stucco/brick exterior you will likely need a second homebase unit. Do not expect one homebase3 to cover 6 exterior cameras around the perimeter of your home. I had multiple communication issues and camera offline issues until I split cameras between 2 homebase3 issues one toward the back and one toward the front of the home. After adding second homebase3 no issues. Cameras pull up quickly on the phone app. Motion detection and recording is flawless. The app is excellent and allows you to fully customize when and what gets detected on which cameras etc. You can also easily filter out areas of the camera field of view to avoid nuisance detection...excellent implementation. The ability to store all recordings locally on honebase is a huge plus..love it!! Love the solar panels. Love the AI that can learn and recognize family members and distinguish from strangers.. so cool. This company is really working on cutting edge features that I really appreciate and will leverage. NOT AS GOOD The mounting brackets don't seem as robust as I would like.. they work but the eufy3 cams are pretty heavy and you really have to tighten things pretty hard to keep the cameras secure and prevent it from shifting under the weight of the camera. Not a huge deal but would like something with a little more strength and adjustability. I ordered a solar panel for one of the cameras that is mounted in an area where it can't get sun. I wanted to be able to run a power line from the camera to a solar panel outside the patio to pick up sun and charge the camera. I ordered the panel from amazon but it came without a water resistant gasket for my model of camera.. the gasket keeps moisture out of the area where the usb c power cable from the solar panel connects to the camera. I called Eufy and they sent me a new panel which I was told would include the gasket.. there was also no gasket in the replacement panel from Eufy.. so long story short I still have no good way to use the exterior solar panel and I am hoping that Eufy will soon make these gaskets available for the eufy3 camera.

Amazing purchase for the Value
To preface this review, I'd like to emphasize that my assessment is based on my specific requirements and the setup of my smart home. Pros: 1. The camera's sound quality is truly remarkable. Even when positioned at approximately 22 feet (although I do not recommend such elevation), the audio remains clear. 2. The setup process is refreshingly straightforward. However, it's essential to highlight that you should not mount the cameras until you have carefully reviewed the instructions. Syncing with the Base Station is a prerequisite before mounting them. 3. The array of configuration options is impressively extensive, offering significant customization of settings. 4. Local recording is available at no additional cost, and there are no hidden features that require extra purchases. 5. The ability to manage local storage and automatically replace older recordings with new ones is a practical feature. 6. Integration with Alexa announcements functions seamlessly. 7. The solar charging capability is quite impressive. Despite initial skepticism, after a month of use, I have observed my cameras reaching only about 88% charge, quickly returning to 100% before nightfall. This is particularly noteworthy for those on the East Coast with shorter daylight hours during winter. 8. The camera's extensive view, as advertised, with its 135-degree field of vision, eliminates the need for pan and tilt features when multiple cameras are in use. Three of these cameras can cover the same range, if not more. 9. It boasts a built-in floodlight that is notably bright and can be triggered by motion. Cons: 1. Facial recognition functions most effectively when the camera is positioned approximately 10 feet above the ground. However, this height may expose the camera to potential tampering, making it more accessible. 2. Unfortunately, the camera cannot be viewed within the Amazon Alexa App, which may inconvenience users who rely on the app for centralized control. 3. Regrettably, there is no integration with Smartthings, limiting its compatibility within broader smart home ecosystems. 4. The Base Station's functionality and options for storage and recorded content are notably limited. There's room for improvement in providing users with more comprehensive video editing and archival solutions. Presently, everything is controlled through the camera, rendering recorded content inaccessible during camera downtime, which may leave users feeling somewhat restricted. 5. The rear mount can be inconvenient, limiting camera placement. It would be beneficial if they offered an elbow extension to facilitate positioning. FYI: 1. It's worth mentioning that, since this is a locally recorded system, the camera's performance heavily relies on the Base Station being positioned approximately 50 feet away. If the Base Station is located in a basement, it may lead to intermittent connection drops between the camera and Base Station, resulting in choppy performance. While not necessarily a con, it's an inherent limitation. The documentation suggests using extenders to address this issue, although I haven't personally tested this solution yet. 2. As previously noted, my initial camera placement at over 20 feet had to be adjusted. I eventually settled for a height of approximately 12 to 15 feet. This change compromised facial recognition capabilities but highlighted the camera's impressive image quality. 3. The extensive 135-degree field of vision, while a pro, has its con: focusing can be challenging. For instance, if the camera is turned to a 90-degree angle with a wall nearby, the floodlight may illuminate the wall and cause the camera to focus on it, rather than on objects on the other side. This specificity in configuring the field of vision can detract from its overall appeal.

Camera REQUIRES mounting in FULL sun
How I arrived at my overall rating: ***** (4.75 rounding up to 5 stars) Value ***** (5 stars) Purchase price: $469.99 Pretty good deal for 3 cameras and base. NOTE: You do need to provide a hard-drive if you want to store video for any prolonged period of time. Quality/Durability **** (4 stars) Duration of use: 18 months After mounting for about 6 months, noticed one of the cameras stopped charging effectively with full sun. Contacted Eufy who replaced the broken camera with a new one and has been working no problem now for almost 1year. Ease of Use/Assembly/Install: ***** (5 stars) Pretty easy to sync camera with base. I do have a mesh setup so wifi signal isn't a problem, but without it, it would have been a little tricky esp for outdoor mounting positions on opposite end of house as router. Usefulness/Appearance/Fun Factor: ***** (5 stars) Has been extremely useful. App could use a bit more options in the settings, but works fine and notifies me based on what I set it to. Overall happy to have gotten and grow with this system. NOTE: Camera NEEDS to be mounted with full exposure to sun. Mounting it under eves so it's partially sticking out will not lead to optimal charging. That being said, this has only been 1+ years of usage, sure being exposed to the elements entirely will take it's toll on the cameras itself. For the time being, they are working great and have been durable.
