I have stepladders ( 4 step) at home to get to high cupboard or closet shelves but always ended up bringing in a 5 foot ladder to change ceiling lights or smoke detector batteries or other high up tasks. However the 5 foot ladder has a wide footprint which makes it difficult to position. The SocTone 5 step ladder is one of the best things I have gotten. It's tall enough for the tall jobs, it has a smaller footprint but is very sturdy and I LOVE the railings. It is a bit heavy and a bit bulky to store because of the railings and I don't use it too often . I keep it in the garage and bring it in if I need to. I last used it outside to trim some tree branches. I highly recommend this product.

My boat has very high draft and the typical dock steps are insufficiently high for my needs (I'm short!). I decided to try this ladder for the boat and, if it didn't work out, I could always use it at home. Well, it is perfect. It is high enough so that I can easily step up and on to the boat deck without any problems. It is very steady and the handles are an added plus. The steps are wide and comfortable. Once I leave the boat, folding the ladder and placing it on deck is very easy. Putting it together by myself was very easy. I am truly very impressed with this ladder. I'm thinking about getting one for home as well. I highly recommend it. I was not paid or awarded any gifts for this review.

Works well in the house for high closets and painting jobs. A little bulky to move around but very useful and more stable then a regular stepstool. s

This ladder is great! I have no idea how I have gone my entire life without it. I have recently suffered a shoulder injury and can only lift my arm at about 50%. So using my regular ladder was not an option, and I live for home improvement projects. So the search began for a stable ladder that could get me to heights needed without having to stretch my arm out. This ladder is it!! Also, I see a lot of people asking if you have to add the handrails. You do NOT! The handrails do not add any stability to the structure of the ladder. The handrails are strictly for ease of use, if you need them. I have not added mine but am keeping them, because we all age. Buy this ladder, you will not regret it!

I have a 4-step stepladder from this company and it’s still going strong after all these years. Now that we need a taller unit to reach our higher ceilings, I chose this brand again. In a nutshell this unit, too is: Quality, sturdy even on top rung, easy to assemble (I have no mechanical ability), handrail is a great help as is the top utility shelf, ez to fold, and compact shape is ez to store. Delivery was great, well packaged, no dents or scratches. Quality all the way.

It is so sturdy. I absolutely love the handles on the side, and they have saved me from several falls. It’s not that heavy. I would suggest two people to assemble just to make it easier and faster for the handles. However, it is very doable to assemble yourself as I did. I did prop the handles up against some thing to use as a second hand. I would definitely buy again if I needed another!

The hand rails are very strong ..excellent step ladder..I’m 72 and feel safe with this ladder..and can reach the ceiling with no problem..
