Q: PS5 just received today installed and formatted it said read time was around in the 5.5k ?? Is this correct thought it was suppose to be closer to 7k

It says up to 7.1k speeds. Mine reads at 6.5k speeds and I just reformatted on my PS5

The device says up to 7,100. This is probably true when the device is in a pc, but the PS5 might have software limiters for guaranteed speeds to maintain consistency of results. 5K+ is already a vast improvement over the speeds in regular hard drives like in the ps4.
