AlpineRUX-H02 Next-Gen Remote Bass Knob for The Alpine Halo Display

Connected great with ILX-507. Is it annoying to have to touch or spin it when you start your car? Yes. But the tradeoff would be burning the battery out every couple weeks. Worthy trade off... plus then you would have people complaining that it chews the battery or died while driving. Plus the head unit now asks if you want to reconnect the knob as it noticed it didn't connect. Just spin the knob and tap yes and it resyncs without having to go into the device connection options like others have reported.For what it is, yes its worth it. Value wise - expensive. Probably a $25-$30 part. I'm not knocking a star though because it fixes the no volume knob issue and frankly I love being able to easily reach this. It controls volume and subwoofer volume seamlessly.My only real complaint... wish knob wasn't chrome due to sunshine/reflections at some angles. Be nice to have other color options but suppose I could fix that if I really wanted to with some stick on vinyl overlay or something. Or maybe even a knob swap out - haven't tried seeing if you can pull the knob right off but it might be possible.

Rarely automatically pairs with Halo unit. Halo unit will sometimes ask to reconnect, then after 3 failed attempts quit asking. Manual pairing isn't much better. Halo has latest firmware. My question to Alpine is, who would by this and not want it to always be paired with the head unit, immediately, upon startup? And if the product is less that 2 feet away from the head unit, again, why won't it pair? So all in all, 80+ bucks for something that can't work as well as 9 dollar weird name import BT earbud. Unfortunately, if you have an older car without the wheel controls, it's your only option for tight spot mounting near the steering wheel. Had I known this item was incomplete throughout its design and function, I wouldn't have bought the Alpine head unit to begin with.

No battery, no instructions, and missing screws..Push the knob before starting vehicle, or it will not pair.Other than that, it’s pretty nice.

Had all kinds of connectivity issues with this thing - Swapped the battery for a fresh one and it has been working much better. Make sure you press the thing before you start your car, it will not pair automatically!

Very easy to use.Very convenient knob for bass and volume controls.Works as expected .Just need to remember to push the knob when starting vehicle for auto bluetooth connection .Very happy with purchase.

Turn the knob the volume went up, press it in and turn the knob. The bass part of the knob did not work.

Tap it before starting your car and it will connect every time.. mounted mine on the console lid for easy volume control

Ignore those bad reviews below They just hating on the product because they DONT know how to use it ! Works excellent and its very easy to pair. Your going to touch the dial anyways you cant avoid it to adjust volume and sub. It just a little pricey for what it does but if you cant afford it settle for your little wire control kow instead
