Purchased this because one of my IT friends had recommended it to me for MacBook. Wasn't sold on the idea until I started using it. I love the fact that this little hub has become my all in one extended attachment for my MacBook. I can charge, store and attach everything I need to use all the through this small hub that fits easily into my carrying case. Once you start using it you will really see how it helps simplify using your laptop or MacBook.

You know I read all the negative feedback on this item and I was still so hopeful that this product will work regardless thinking to myself, how bad can this really be? Come to find out, just like I had read online. this product works for about the first week or two, or even worse the first 5 or 10 times and then it becomes useless as it throws all kinds of errors on your mac and having two usb's plugged in at the same time for example will become a nightmare. If you're planing on buying this product, please take this feedback very serious and do not make the same mistake I made.

It is so hard to find a usb-c hub that works well. I bought this for my macbook pro 2017 with touchbar. I wanted an all-in-one hub that had vga, hdmi, sd card slots, ethernet and usb. I had found many that I had to return, either they weren't compatible or would overheat or would stop working. This one was the next best bet. I was hesitant to purchase this one as well given the low number of reviews, but it seems to be holding up well.It does get hot, but not hot enough that I can't handle it or that it stops working. My only reason for not giving this 5 stars is that the usb and ethernet ports are on the same side as the dongle and it is hard to access when connected to the laptop. The vga connection is also spotty sometimes and the usb-c connector will NOT charge my laptop. Also, you can't connect vga and hdmi at the same time (another one I had purchased allowed that, but it would overheat and get glitchy). Overall, it does what I need it to do, but I am not 100% happy with this. I didn't have another choice as all the other 4 that I bought didn't work.

For the state of the art in November 2017, it's really great. It gives my MacBook 12" pass-thru power, VGA, HDMI, full size USB ports, and memory card support.It's not perfect. It's rather large and bulky and one could easily think of how it could be shrunk smaller. The pigtail USB-C male lead seems a bit fragile and I imagine it'll be what leads to the demise of this device unless .... it dies of heat exhaustion -- it gets considerably warm in use, especially when using the VGA or HDMI outputs. My Apple brand adaptor doesn't get as warm, so there's something about the chipset it uses that is heating up. And finally, it's on the pricey side but for now, all of the hubs are pricey. Still, I imagine that a year from now, these hubs will be selling for much much less and if you can hold off, it's worth doing so.That all being said, it's saved my rear-end during meetings where the projector only has a VGA input. If you don't need the VGA, there are smaller and slimmer options.

This thing is awesome. It matches my MacBook Pro. (I’m picky when it comes to accessories) it’s sleek, has plenty of ports. I love that I can finally hook my laptop up to Ethernet easily using this. I love it!

Often loses connection with SD CARD.Also, Reading speed of SD Card is too slow.It takes 10times longer time than an iNNOMAX HUB SD CARD READER I own.

Greatly expands connectivity of the MacBook Pro (2016). Great for bringing connectivity on the go. Haven't tried using too many connectors at once, but using both USB-A ports and HDMI at once appears to make my mouse (connected through Logitech unifying receiver) behave erratically, likely due to the power output limitations of a single USB-C.

I bought this product specifically for high speed transfer of my SD cards, it's USB 3.0 and Type C so I wouldn't have to use an adapter but my current solution of an older and far, far cheaper card reader with a USB-A to USB-C adapter is three times faster than this product, which make this a redundant purchase. Particularly considering how expensive this product is, to not get a gain or even equal transfer speed, let alone it actually being twice as slow, is really disappointing. It was only capable of 37MB/s compared to the adapter combo reaching 91.5MB/s on the same Sandisk Extreme Pro microSD card.Edit: I ran a speed test with the same card (Sandisk Extreme Pro) connected to the same device (2017 Macbook Pro), the only variable was the card reader. The supplier has since stated that it is only 2.0 standard, which explains why it's slow. Considering the cost of the product, I think people would assume it to be capable of reading current spec UHS cards. It's misleading to state "ENJOY AMAZING, LIGHTNING SPEEDS" and then provide a product that is actually slow and even close to current standards.Edit 2: Seller has since amended the description regarding the SD speeds so I'm adjusting my rating from 1 to 3 stars. I still think it's way too expensive but I'm now using it for another purpose than the one I intended.
