Will you please remove carrageenan?

Whatever you do don't remove Carrageenan. And if your toothpaste doesn't have Carrageenan add it immediately. Some of the most healthy people on the planet eat boat loads of seaweed and live the longest healthiest lives. If you are worried about it then do what my grandmother did, she used baking soda and peroxide and had all of her teeth at 96.

Will not buy until the carrageenan is removed?

We only use the highest quality ingredients for our Dr. Sheffield’s Toothpaste. As you may know, Carrageenan is a natural thickener that is made from red seaweed. It has been proven to be safe for food and drug products. It is used in many food products, and we use it in Dr. Sheffield toothpaste to provide a smooth thick consistency. There is a lot of misinformation about Carrageenan. The studies that linked Carrageenan to potential health effects, were actually based on a degraded form of Carrageenan, called “Poligeenan”. Further, these studies were based on feeding Poligeenan as a high percentage of the total diet. Our Dr. Sheffield’s Toothpaste Formulas that have Carrageenan only have 0.1% Carrageenan in them, so when brushing, even if you were to swallow all the toothpaste, you would be ingesting only a tiny amount of high quality, food grade Carrageenan! We also have a few varieties of Dr. Sheffield’s that have no Carrageenan. Our Charcoal Mint, Mixed Berry, Strawberry Banana, and Chocolate flavors contain no Carrageenan.

Do you test on animals?

Dr. Sheffield Toothpaste is not tested on animals. We love all animals!

Can anyone squish this product out? I have mashed on it with my elbow!!!!

It gets harder to squeeze each time. Once I used about 1/4 of the tube, I added distilled water, screwed the cap on and mashed it back and forth on the counter. Now it is easy to dispense. I have the sensitivity one.
