Great idea , stopping draughts instantly

In view of the huge increase in fuel prices, I am attempting to make my house more energy efficient. I decided to instal draft excluders on the main internal doors. I installed this pack of two on the living room and dining room doors. They were very easy to instal - no DIY skills required! The draft excluder is simply slid underneath the bottom of the door. You may need to reduce the size of the excluder if it is too long for your door. I was surprised to find that this is not mentioned on the product page and no instructions are provided in the package. The excluder consists of two foam tubes enclosed in a fabric covering. You just slide the foam tubes out of their covering and use a sharp knife to cut to the correct size. You then shorten the fabric using the velcro on the end of the fabric tubes. They do work quite effectively and do stop drafts coming in the bottom of the doors. The excluders sometimes slip along and start to protrude out the end of the door but it is simple to push them back in. Overall, this is a simple and inexpensive way to reduce drafts.

I was looking for some draft excluders for a while, I came across these and decided to give them a go given the price and the reviews. They are perfect, so much so I've just ordered another set. They are easy to cut down to size, fit like a glove and easy to slip under the doors. Very happy with them.

I bought these as they seemed a good compromise on price. I had a good gap under my door, an inch perhaps. These work great at blocking the wind, that's amazing I can't fault it there. .However they keep getting pulled under the door when you open and close it... the foam bits look a lot smaller than others I'd seen which might by why, if you have an inch gap, the foam will easy compress and go under when the carpet creates some resistance... it would work much better on a wooden floor I bet..The velcro tab to pull the thing closed is also very small, I took about 6 inches of foam off mine, and there was no way near enough velcro to seal it closed, so had to kind of trap it closed under the door.Today I actually ended up taking off the door and screwing the thing to the bottom of the door with 6 screws.. Works much better. It still does get pulled under, but now it stays in place, whereas before that it just kept coming out.3 stars as with some effort it will really keep the cold out... but only 3 as it could have been a lot better.

Easy to trim down and fit. Good quality materials. Helped eliminate draught issues.

It looks horrendous, but does the job very well. Happy
