As described and good quality. I've built a number of barrel stoves over the years, and these are fine. Figured I'd better get an extra kit before someone succeeds in outlawing them completely. I recommend you use the 'open head' drum type, configuring the open end at the back of the stove and cutting through the bottom of the drum for the door. Using this design allows for much easier installation of stove brick or pouring in a furnace cement mixture. Use a good quality stove cement to seal the back end and qood quality rings, or sheet metal screws to affix the lid.

I like the door, had to customize it just a little bit. The stove pipe flue will not fit the 30 gal barrel. So I’m using the old one. Other then that, the door is 1”bigger then what I wanted. Oh well it will work.

Easy to install. All you need is a barrel, a drill and an angle grinder. I ended up just using mine outside so it rusted up pretty badly. The damper won't stay open on its own anymore but I always run it wide open anyway. This kit works to turn a barrel into a woodstove. Leaks everywhere so I probably wouldn't use it inside, maybe in a cabin.
